About the Business
The Alliance For Infants & Toddlers, located at 2801 Custer Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was established in 1988 to assist families of low birth weight infants. Since then, the institution has been chosen as the Early Childhood Intervention Service Coordination Agency for families of children aged birth to three years with developmental concerns in Allegheny County. In April 2022, the Alliance was also elected as the Early Intervention Service Coordination Agency for children residing in Beaver County.
The Alliance provides a variety of supports and services to enhance the natural learning that occurs in the early years, with services offered in the home, childcare sites, and other community settings identified by the family. Any child aged birth to three years in Allegheny County or Beaver County is eligible for a developmental evaluation through Early Intervention.
The institution's mission is to connect young children and their families with the developmental supports needed to thrive through family engagement and collaboration with community partners. They envision a future where all children and their families are valued, respected, and included as members of the community. The Alliance demonstrates through their words and actions that people are at the center of everything they do, encouraging families and their children in everyday life activities and assisting families in building meaningful relationships within their communities. They engage with families to identify information and resources that contribute to their priorities and intended outcomes.
