"Most unethical business I've ever dealt with, and to take that title in the Health insurance Business, you know that bar is very low to start with. They have untrained, uneducated customer service reps who are "all about you" until the day you sign the coverage plan. Then when the time to cover their end comes, it's the old bait and switch. No exaggeration when I say I'd trust the Healthcare in 3rd World Country, before ever giving these crooks another thought. Unethical thieves, the entire lot of them!!!"
"My wife and daughter were looking for a new doctor and found an "In Network" provider on the Blue Cross web page. She verified with the doctor that they were "In Network". Having verified with both Blue Cross and the Doctor, she made an appointment and saw the doctor several times. I received the EOB for their service in June and was surprised to see that the claim was processed as "Out of Network" for that month only. Claims for other months were processed as "In Network". I called Blue Cross and was told that there was a paperwork issue with the doctor that was impacting their "In Network" status is June. Other patients had the same problem and it would be fixed. Blue Cross has now denied the claim again and are unwilling to change on appeal. As a patient my only means of verifying "In Network" prior to service is through the insurance company or the doctor. When they both claim "In Network", I have can only assume that they are "In Network". Blue Cross and/or the doctors office did not contact us at any time to tell that there was a problem with the doctor's "In Network" status prior to or during care. Complaining to the PA AG now......I can not understand how an insurance company can operate like this. Beware and verify your "In Network" status before, during and after visits.....then cross your fingers because Blue Cross can change their mind at any time."
"one star because I cannot go any lower. this company charged my wife and I $2,000 a month premium. we hardly every go to the doctor and my wife is on one monthly medication. after struggling to pay the outrageous premium our policy was canceled because our payment was 4 days late. 4 days!!!! do yourself a favor and find another company. having no insurance is better than dealing with them"
"Could barely move my neck went to the chiropractor and he asked for five visits the insurance company feels that it's okay to counter offer with doctor thinks is necessary even though he already provided all the paperwork needed. Call Blue Cross and they say you can appeal it so now I needed two more visits number next even worse even though it was better now it's going to get worse now that I have to wait for my chiropractor to appeal it because I can't afford to pay for it full price out of my pocket and the customer service rep was of 0 help to me and I know just mentioning is on here is not going to help nothing since when is it okay for Insurance Company to assume that three visits is good enough. This is nothing about this Branch but it's ridiculous I don't have time to sit here on the phone with the insurance company and fight with them"
"WORST INSURANCE COMPANY, now going on ten days with no coverage because my father is out of work due to open heart surgery, my mother who suffered from a stroke in the past, now neither of them can attend doctors appointments, my mom has not had blood pressure medication in 2 days because our insurance has been canceled. Called on January 3rd about this issue was told I’ll hear back from them within 24 hours here we are a WEEK later & nothing, both of my parents are at a serious health risk without the proper medications. Your better off going with ANY other insurance company."
