"Sweet ladies make and serve comfort food. It's not for the health conscious,LOL, but if you have a healthy appetite and cherish comfort food, this is the place. It's our " mecca" every time we are in the area."

"This place is so tiny! It is adorable and clean, and the food was delicious. My favorite things about the Chugnut are the name (lol) and the huge coffee mugs!!! And as a born and raised southerner, it is a comfort to find a diner that serves gravy biscuits up here! We will definitely be back for breakfast, and for lunch because any place that has a bussin breakfast has to have a bussin lunch."

"The owner stated she has no staff as staff quit on Her. I saw tables were not cleaned with dishes from previous customers on table. I accepted and wanted to show support and I cleared 2 other tables for customers to use while I waited for food to come. May I mention people came in and stated they would wait outside until space was available for them. As I had cleared tables and putting dishes on counter The owner/ cook stated “you don’t have to do that” I replied “ it’s okay, I’m making myself useful” while I place cups on counter next to other dishes previously placed there. I then went and got plates that I previously collected and placed them also on counter. The owner/cook then replied rudely” Please don’t, leave it” I sat down on my dirty table that was never cleaned, new customers came in and sat down at dirty tables with the tip from previous customers that I left on table for her. One table was cleaned for people that waited outside previously. Another elderly lady came in and proceeding to clean another table so she can seat at, mind you the dinner has 6 tables and I cleaned 2 and was seating at third and now this lady cleaned 4th table. Other tables still left with dishes. On checkout the owner/ cook rolled eyes at elderly lady that was clearing the table so she could eat. I would NOT recommend this place to eat at or work at. There is a reason you staff quit last Thursday 15 minutes before her shift, ITS THE OWNER/COOK.. I know staff quitting info because owner/ cook told us. Very unprofessional and unsanitary. I hope dept of health deals with you. #learn manners and accept help when you want empathy.# can’t fix ignorance"

"This diner is truly and absolutely a hidden diamond! The service was beyond attentive and friendly and the food was delicious and expertly made. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming but be aware of limited seating. They do take cards and cash. There’s ample parking. The location is hidden and if you are not looking for it you can miss it. Definitely check it out and you will not be disappointed!!!"
