"I’ve been enjoying the Creole Bistro menu for many months now. I have tried the Oxtail , Fried Pork, and Chicken Stew Entrees. They have all been really good, the oxtail was very tender, the pork was seasoned well and the chicken was fall off the bone. My favorite is the chicken stew, I’ve gotten it the most from the Creole Menu. You will also get some tasty pickled cabbage with carrots and sweet or green plantains. I get the sweet ones, and they are really good! The portions are a good size, I always have at least 2 meals with it, which makes me happy! I’m glad that this Creole menu is available! I can’t forget to mention a favorite baked item, their plain croissants are a favorite and are tasty on their own but I like to use them to make a breakfast sandwich. Definitely come out to try the Creole menu, croissants and the rest of their menu!"
"I just stopped by Café Du Pain Bakery today. I haven't stopped here for a few months and WOW it did not disappoint at all. The food is absolutely delicious and beautiful. The hardest part is deciding what you want to eat because EVERYTHING looks good. The picture below is of the Haitian "beef patty" and is the main reason why I stop here. They're seasoned well, light, not greasey and beautiful. The young lady who owns the store also bakes some beautiful pastries. She offers a variety of savory/sweet crossaints. My wife got a chocolate one and I got a ham/cheese one today and both were delicious. If you haven't stopped here yet, get there this weekend! You definitely won't regret it!"
"The Good: The café is lovely. Decorated beautifully, great light from the entrance windows and plenty of seating. The staff is friendly and eager to help. I ordered from the Creole Menu. I ordered fried fish, deep fried pork and black mushroom rice. The food was delicious. I would definitely bring friends there to eat Haitian food if I wanted to dine in, but I would not return for take out. I also bought a croissant and 2 funfetti cupcakes. Why I took off 1 Star: While the Haitian Food was delicious, it was not anymore delicious than the other Haitian restaurants in the area (2 others within a 20 minute drive). The portion sizes here were small. The portion sizes at the other 2 restaurants is easily double what I received here. Unless this place is using strictly organic food (which is not advertised), I can't reconcile the prices. Again, I'd come here to eat Haitian food as a special treat if I wanted to dine in with someone not accustomed to the cuisine. I wish items like goat and conch were included on the menu. I do commend the owner for making this cuisine more accessible to people who would have otherwise missed it. I hope they continue to offer it. The croissant was very hard. I'm not sure if asking them to warm it would have help. Also, it seemed like the 2 funfetti cupcakes I purchased were from 2 different batches. One cupcake was dry and flavorless, it literally crumbled when I took it out of the wrapper. The second cupcake was super moist and yet dense and the frosting was not overly sweet and perfectly fluffy. I'm not sure what happened here, but I'd probably go back and give the cupcakes another try."
"A hidden gem next to Staples off of Highway 1 South. Family owned and operated. Staff is delightful and the breakfast croissants and pastries are authentic and fresh. The traditional macchiato was great! Don’t miss this place!"
