"Visit Dr. Liaw, excellent doctor visit. However, the front office staff is incompetent. I was suppose to be scheduled for a biopsy surgery and was told I'd be contacted for scheduling. Nobody called. I followed up and they said somebody would be in touch, once again nobody reached out. I visited Dr. Liaw again and mentioned I was waiting on scheduled. Still no action by the office or doctor. I reminded the font office again- nothing. Time to find an new ENT."

"I highly recommend Metropolitan ENT. I’m a patient of both Dr. Comstock and Dr. Swamy. I came in with breathing issues due to nose trauma and recurring sinus infections. Dr. Comstock diligently prescribed several tests and then referred me to Dr. Swamy for rhinoplasty. I felt very at ease and comfortable with the front office, Nurses, and Doctors. I had surgery 2 months ago and my only regret is that I waited nearly a year. If I had to do this again, I would not change a thing. I feel and look so much better and my sleep has improved. "AVOID - AVOID - AVOID I recently had a highly unsatisfactory experience at this medical office, and I feel compelled to share my concerns. The issues I encountered seriously impacted my perception of the facility. The front desk staff displayed a shocking lack of professionalism. Calls were abruptly terminated, and attempts at communication were met with frustration. A clear need for retraining in basic customer service and communication skills is evident. The audiologists assigned to conduct tests for hearing issues and ear infections seemed ill-equipped and lacked the necessary expertise. This raised doubts about the reliability of diagnostic procedures at this facility. Thankfully, i was able to see my PCP the very next day and got the proper treatment. Dr. Abidin's communication style left much to be desired. Rather than thoroughly explaining my condition and exploring non-surgical options first, the immediate focus was on discussing surgery. This lack of transparency and consideration for alternative treatments left me feeling uneasy. In summary, my visit was marked by communication breakdowns, questionable diagnostic procedures, and a rushed approach to surgery discussions. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback, urging the medical office to address these issues promptly for the sake of future patients."

"The follow-up service provided by Dr. Michael R. Abidin, MD's office is extremely disappointing. After going for my MRI, I received no instructions from the staff. A week passed without any contact from their office. Upon calling, I found out they are not in my Inova network and that I need to bring my MRI on a disc to the doctor. However, the earliest appointment available is on January 18. Essentially, this means if there's a serious issue like a tumor, I can't be seen until then, leaving me in a state of stress. Additionally, the lady who answered the phone showed no compassion during our conversation."

"Do NOT use this doctor for your ENT needs. Dr. Abidin is unprofessional and he and his front office staff do not communicate anything clearly with respect to billing or necessary appointments. I've received conflicting explanations from the front desk about what co-pays I owe, and was told repeatedly I don't owe co-pays for the first three follow up visits after my surgery. Five months later, I'm being told I do owe co-pays, but not for the follow-ups; rather, for necessary "debridements" during those followups. In other words, when you go into the office still drugged from your surgery and in pain, and they remove all the stuff in your nose to help you breathe, that's a separate and additional cost that is unexplained. Meanwhile, Dr. Abidin is usually late to seeing you, and during the check-up spends more time telling me about his views on guns and other political leanings than about my recovery. He may be a good doctor, but the practice is shady and run extremely unprofessionally, up to and including the billing person, Nora, who informed me that I should have remembered signing a form the morning of my surgery five months ago authorizing them to bill me for extra services. Go literally anywhere else for your ENT needs."
