"Update: At this point I've changed primary care physicians. Your physician could be the best doctor in the world, but when you don't get any follow up for months after doing tests with actionable results it's pointless. Dr. Malvar himself is a great Primary Care Physician. My issues stem with the lack of follow up from the front office (specifically the nursing staff) on a consistent basis. Every time I've been to the office I have follow up things to do - sleep study, blood work, etc. I have these tests done only for there to be no subsequent follow up. My calls and messages to the nursing staff seem to disappear into the ether without any sort of response from the front desk or Dr. Malvar himself. A PCP can be the best PCP ever, but without any follow up on matters of your health then it's basically a moot point. This has been going on for a couple of years now, and appears to be a matter of culture within the office. I cannot fathom that the staff simply doesn't have the time to keep up with the amount of call volume coming in, and if that is the case I would like to think that this would have been addressed by hiring more staff within the past couple of years."

"I call to schedule an appointment. I press three regarding automated message. But nobody gets back to me and if they do it’s takes a week or more. I’m planning to find another doctor. They hire An obnoxious ill mannered LPN named Tracy That has absolutely no social skills. That’s going to make circumstances much much worse. Sometimes you pay for your poor choices"

"Never had any real issues with Dr. Malvar during the time I was in New Castle. All my issues stemmed from the front desk (Elaine), she was absolutely horrible dealing. Constantly has an attitude and very rude. Would lie about calling me back, or what we talked about over the phone. I switched doctors back in May and they sent the request for my records. She called in August saying they had my records for pick up and it would be $60. So I told my new doctors this and they spoke to Elaine and completely denied this interaction or any request for my records. I am so much happier I don't have to deal with her anymore. I have told Dr. Malvar this and he doesn't seem to want to anything about it. Which is sad because I really liked him and the other staff"
