"I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Christopher, the gentleman who attempted to help me find an appointment with GW's dermatology department. Today, December 12th, 2023, I reached out to Christopher seeking assistance with scheduling an appointment for a skin condition that was causing me significant distress. It is crucial for individuals working in medical facilities to understand that patients, family members, or caregivers typically share a common goal: either they're seeking care for someone in pain or discomfort or preventive care from a healthcare professional. When I spoke with Christopher, his kindness, attentiveness, natural curiosity, willingness to assist, and ability to comprehend my concerns were remarkable. He actively listened and extracted relevant information to address my issue without rushing through our interaction. Christopher exemplified efficiency while maintaining an excellent balance throughout our conversation. Christopher demonstrated exceptional commitment and dedication in assisting me. He made it clear that he would not give up until he had helped me find a solution. Utilizing his online research skills and available resources, Christopher went above and beyond by exploring various options for community care and alternatives to GW. I was profoundly relieved to know that I was in safe hands, and I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. I gratefully accepted Christopher's referrals and sincerely thanked him for his outstanding service. He assured me that everything would be alright and extended an invitation to reach out to GW if further assistance was needed. Upon speaking with Christopher, I felt it necessary to elevate the issue to his supervisor. It's unfortunate that people often only take the time to make complaints when service falls short, yet they neglect to acknowledge individuals like Christopher, who consistently demonstrate genuine concern and care on a daily basis. These unsung heroes deserve recognition and appreciation! Christopher has demonstrated a deep understanding of how interactions with patients impact their overall experience. He recognizes the immense power of healing through compassionate care versus medicine. Christopher's exceptional level of care will forever be etched in my memory. He truly sets the gold standard for healthcare professionals."
"I like Dr Jaime Rosenthal and would recommend her, but this practice is closing on December 1st. They sent me a letter recommending other allergist offices that I can use."
"Dr Debritz was very professional and humorous and always gave me his best. The whole team was kind and, welcoming and knowledgeable on each of their respective professionals. Special shout out to Joseph who kindly took the extra mile to show me the correct form of how to ease back into weight-bearing after I broke my ankle while I was in a CAM Boot. God Bless you Joseph."
"I easily scheduled my primary care annual visit online with Kirsten E Scharer at M Street Primary Care. As a new patient, I was seen quickly upon arrival. She was a very personable and thorough provider. She took her time to get to know me as a person and answered all the questions and concerns I had. I went downstairs to complete my labs and that was an efficient process as well. There is a parking fee for the garage. Unfortunately, I received a Labcorp bill due to Hemoglobin A1c not being a routine procedure code according to my insurance United Healthcare. I would suggest to ask for the labs to be ran by insurance before getting blood drawn downstairs."
"The only reason I go is that they take my insurance and it's so hard to find doctors within a commutable distance accepting patients. I have always gotten the impression that it is a giant medical mill whose only purpose is to make money. Individual providers may be poor, okay, to great, but the system as a whole is awful. Scheduling can be terrible with people just hanging up on you or never calling back. I got an x-ray done due to foot pain and the total cost ended up being $680. So far I have had a more positive experience with Georgetown's Medstar system. I highly advise using MFA as a last resort for urgent matters or unless you have a specific provider you really like."
