"The services are great if your family needs very general support . My twins have been through multiple formula changes and I have been unable to get this office to change my benefits once since December even after my pediatrician contacted them. Our follow up appointment was scheduled for next Friday. I have had this appointment for at least 4 months. I just received a voicemail saying they rescheduled my appointment for Wednesday at 8:45am. I called to have this phone call appointment moved to another time of day due to my work schedule. The lady was so unpleasant that I just asked her to remove my appointment and we will be forfeiting our benefits"
"I don't normally write reviews but I just felt it was needed. This is my first pregnancy and like many new mothers, I'm not all that well informed. There are 5 things I would like to point out! 1.) I would like to start off by saying how impressed I am with how clean the WIC office in Germantown is! 2.) The front desk is always so kind and polite. I love how they always ask me if I have any questions before I go to the back and before I leave the office. I was told by the lady in the front desk (unfortunately, I didn't get her name) that I was not going to be able to take the breastfeeding class. Then she asked me if I had any question about breastfeeding. I respond by telling her that I don't know anything about breast feeding. She told me to have a seat and that she was going to see if I could speak to the lactation consultant. 3.) There was no wait!!! The lactation consultant called me back right away and was absolutely helpful! Her name is Benita. I walked into her office knowing nothing about breastfeeding and came out extremely happy, well-informed and completely convinced that I only want to breastfeed my baby. 4.) Mrs. Benita took her time with me, she explained everything, showed me pictures, should me a method of how to breastfeed by using a baby model. Not only did she show me how breastfeed but she had me practice with the baby model. She gave me brochures and a breastfeeding booklet! 5.) She told me that she was always available to answer any questions I have before and after I have my baby! It's nice to know that there will be someone there for you to help you with any concerns or questions you may have! I am absolutely thankful and happy for meeting and having the time to speak to Mrs. Benita!"
"Wonderful staff!! I was not expecting such a great visit. I thought for sure this was another goverment program that treated everyone like garbage but boy was i wrong. The lady behind the counter was so nice and sweet. The first lady i saw that went over the shopping list with me was so nice and professional and personal! She didnt just inform me en move on, she conversed about life with me! And worked with me to make sure i was getting the most out of my benafits because of my health issues and restricted diet. The breast feeding specialist made me feel soooooo much better about my worries about breast feeding, i feel like i can actually do it now, and the nutritionist was so honest with me i couldnt ask for a better support system. Every new mother should be apart of this program."
"The office staff is helpful and accommodating and I never waited long for my appointment. Every staff member I encountered on my visits were kind and patient with my children. I especially want to thank their Breastfeeding Counselor. She was absolutely wonderful, very encouraging and kind. She would call and check in with me to see how breastfeeding was going. Anyone who has breastfed knows, it's not always easy, but a valuable commitment. I truly owe her credit that I was able to breastfeed my daughter successfully for 15 months."
"This center deserves more than 5 star. It was neat and clean and the most important thing that the staff were very kind, polite and helpful. It is the first public center I saw providing services to low income families where the staff are still smiling and dealing friendly with beneficiaries."
