"Not a scam artist. You need to listen to what they are telling you. There is a call fee and yes he tells you about it before they come out. We had roots clogging our drainage pipes to the sewage system, and the water backed up into our house. We called numerous other "plumbers" and even had a a budget "plumber" come out and tell us that they couldn't clear the line because of "bends in pipes". Action Plumbing was recommended by a co-worker, and Mario returned my call immediately. He informed me that there is a service charge for coming out, but he was the only one who was willing to come out on a Saturday night. He cleaned out the pipe and got the drains working again. They charge by the job not by the time, so even if the job takes 5 minutes or 5 hours its still the same price, and its done right. Mario even called the city to have their lines checked, and the restoration company to have my carpeting and walls fixed. Definitely worth a call in an emergency. The above mentioned root totally choked off the pipe a year later because trees grow and no matter how many times you snake the they find the sewer lines. We had them come out and replace the sewer line. Granted it took them a few weeks to get out but they covered the permits ahead of time and covered cost until they came out. Yes my front lawn is ripped to shreds but they had run trenches and dig out the old lines."
