"Clean and comfortable, easy to buy tix and snacks on line in advance, and at lower prices than AMC, etc. But I agree, the popcorn is too salty!"

"It’s our art movie house away from home. Love that it’s a small theater and gets quite an array of independent films and including an occasional large film. We preferred the Montgomery due to its small size smaller theaters."

"There is always a great selection of movies, and the ticket price is good. Unfortunately, I will pick the Garden Theater over Montgomery because of the state of the HVAC-- especially as covid rates again rise. It was so hot and stuffy in the theater that I was still warm in a tank top (in December). When the air went on, the rumble from the mechanical unit vibrated the seat, and the noise was loud to the point it competed with the sound of the movie. My last comment is one of personal preference. The popcorn is too salty."

"This is one of my favorite theatres. It’s a true gem! For cinephiles who love foreign and independent films but don’t want to trek all the way to NYC or deal with Montclair parking, this place is wonderful. I used to come here frequently when I lived in Central NJ and now I’m still happy to make the 1 hour drive when I can. I’m also so thankful that they were able to reopen, after the pandemic ravaged so many theaters. Check out a movie here and I promise you won’t be disappointed!"

"The only art-house movie theater in the greater Princeton area. One would think that Princeton, being a highbrow university town, would host an art-house theater, but no, only Montgomery (the area is interchangeably known as Skillman, Rocky Hills, Belle Mead due to the neighboring townships) offers a heaven for true cinephiles, where you can watch limited-release, foreign and independent movies otherwise not available in our heck of the woods. Originally opened in 1972-1973, Montgomery Cinemas offers art-house films for the last 49 years! Now, a 6-flex movie theater featuring fully digital conversion, quite comfortable seating, and a Dolby sound system, Montgomery Cinemas is a fully family business operated by a son inheriting it from his father.
