"Went three years ago and they saved my life :) The staff is very caring about their clients, were clear and reasonable with their rules, and accommodating."
"Our daughter was in desperate need of help. Her ED had gotten into a dangerous zone. Out patient therapy was just not enough to bridge the gap for us. We began looking for facilities and this one was semi close. Leaving your child can be very difficult and reading reviews I felt somewhat comfortable with this place. Ilida was really easy to work with. When we arrived, she went through all of the initial paperwork with us and made sure we understood everything before signing. While there our daughter was able to gain weight and understand her relationship with her body image and understand how her eating disorder affected that. The staff was great and quickly developed relationships that were therapeutic with my daughter- helping her use her DBT skills when she would get upset. As a mom, it does your heart good to know that when your child is upset, there is someone there to comfort them when you can’t. She went in having withdrawn into herself, no longer enjoying activities she had previously enjoyed, and as previously mentioned, very sick. She discharged a healthy, happy kiddo! Enjoying activities she hadn’t enjoyed in a long time! The only negative comments I have is that the house was in somewhat of a transition of staff upon our arrival. Our daughter was assigned a virtual therapist & virtual dietician. While both of these individuals were great, we would have much preferred in person facilitation. There were some lapses of communication a few times, but again, staff was/is in transition. When it’s brought to their attention, they are quick to rectify this. At the end of the day, the good definitely outweighs the “bad” and if I had to do it all over again, I would send her there without hesitation. Actually at discharge, our daughter was in tears because while she wanted to come home, she was going to miss several of the staff!"
"Great facility helped my child immensely only complaint is when she was discharged they missed a whole bag of clothes and because it is 2 1/2 hours away it took us a few months to go back to get the clothes and they had discarded them without even calling us they said that we signed something at admission but neither my husband or I remember that being discussed. The right thing to do would have been to call me and say we’re gonna discard it if you don’t come get it by this date"
"Personally, I think it was really helpful. I was about to get sent to residential but my parents wanted to see if CFD could help me first. I ended up staying for 5 months and it was tough at first but I was able to challenge myself a lot. While I did make a lot of friends and learned more about my ed, some of the staff was mean and unhelpful. They were rude and often did not make me feel valued or heard."
"The director, Susan, is narcissistic and insane. She took my parents into her office during a visit and decided to kick me out on a Sunday with no previous warning. She has insulted me, yelled and me, lied to my parents, and mistreated other patients. I was left with nowhere to go except home, 3 1/2 hours away. My stay lasted just under 3 weeks, and while my interactions with everyone except Susan were positive, my time there was stressful and led to many mental breakdowns due to threats of being kicked out and splitting patients up. No php or iop placements were set up before kicking me out without warning. Susan is unfit for her position and has ruined my stay after waiting 4 months for placement."
