"I had a flawless move in experience with a courteous staff. Taylor was unbelievable and my place was clean and good to go. Excellent spot! Jason"
"We loved living here when we first moved in but now that we are on our 3rd lease we cannot wait to get out. The quality of the apartments is not worth the amount we have to pay. The communication from the management has been awful. The buildings just feel dirty and recently we have had safety concerns. Update: If I could change this review to zero stars I would. Got an email from the management asking for me to give specifics of my concerns. I respond with a detailed list and also mention the “newly renovated” apartments they are advertising. The only response to me was asking if I would like to see one of them? Nothing about anything else I said. In response to my reply of saying that we do not feel safe in your building so why would we want to move to a different part of it, was told our safety is valued but they can’t guarantee it. In other words we could careless if something happened to someone as a result of one of the safety measures they put in place and advertise isn’t working. Wow. But clearly they do not care because they are still being paid and someone will just take our place."
"Just moved in and already having issues. When moving in it looks like no one has cleaned the place. There are spider webs lining all the walls in the apartment. The vents clearly have dust collected in there. Also our shower pan has been cracked since the day we moved in and when maintenance came they said “yeah it’s cracked” and left. Wasn’t “repaired” until two weeks later and they put a sheet over it. The shower pan is still creaked and sinking into the floor. The water from the sink reeks of chlorine for some reason and the first week of living here there was a power outage in the area. No back up generators throughout the whole complex. And no access into the building. Power went out at 11am and wasn’t repaired until after midnight the next. We were unable to go into our home because everyone’s access key into the building is electric so there was no way of getting in. Also it was pitch black when we were able to get in from someone leaving a rock in the door that was later removed. The door outside our apartment which was supposed to be “extra storage” is not actually extra storage but a room for the ac eventhough we were told otherwise. Which is inconvenient since storage is limited in the apartments. The kitchen light in our apartment doesn’t turn off when flipping the switch and requires you to turn it on and off multiple times. The floors AND walls are all uneven. The cable package is required even if you only need one thing for internet. And the apartment sets up the appointment and don’t tell you when they’re coming. There are multiple small fees like trash removal and parking ($50 or $100 depending on covered or uncovered parking) although we were told it’s very inexpensive they all quickly add up ontop of your rent. The people who work here are very nice but for a place this expensive there shouldn’t be this many problems and they rarely answer the phone when you call about an issue. If this place had much cheaper rent I would understand many of these issues mentioned. Update: Kitchen light were fixed. Shower is not going to be fixed since the apartment sells so fast that they’d rather keep renting it out (regardless of the clear issue) then taking the time to fix it BEOFRE renting it out to a person who will have the same problem. And it is not just this single apartment we have heard this happen in. Also, we were told the walls were “soundproof” when we moved in. Which is not the case at all. Midnight until morning you can hear furniture moving in the apartment above. New update: Car has been clearly hit by another car in the parking lot and management clearly has no interest in helping find out who hit the car. Apparently they’re “not allowed to check cameras.” Which is very concerning. Imagine living somewhere that is not allowed to check cameras after an incident clearly occurred on their property? Does not seem right. Management has no interest in helping you here, they only want your money. Another update: Fire alarms go off so much at these apartments. Middle of the night, light in the hall is burning so all the alarms are blaring. Couple days later they go off again mid day for who knows what reason. We don’t get any updates. Then again on a Sunday night at 11:30 PM they start going off again. 9 months living here and this months been the worst with it going off 3 times already. Very sad for the pets families have living here to also be going through this. And the apartment on the first floor flooded in the center of the room. No leaks through the window or walls so there’s definitely something going on with the foundation. Always nervous leaving the apartment on a rainy day for the whole room to be filled with water."
"I’ve been living at The Highlands for roughly 2.5 weeks now. Moving in was a very easy transition. Nicole in the leasing office was awesome to work with. She was super informative and responsive to any questions we had. I would definitely recommend The Highlands and Nicole to any future residents. - Jimmy and Vincent"
"Nicole, the front office leasing agent and Nina, Assistant Manager welcomed my wife and me as we inquired about a possible rental. Without a doubt they were not only gracious and inviting but eager to assist us to find a home at the Highlands. Their demeanor was beyond our expectations. Nicole took her time to explain everything about the property and took the time to share her expert advice about the apartments she showed us. Nina, answered my never ending questions always with a smile. They went the extra mile to provide us with a parking spot in close proximity to our new home. We called them many times to request assistance with our move and both ladies quickly handled questions about Christmas deliveries, mail etc. Nicole has made our move seamless. She is a treasure who we know we can always depend on and go to for whatever needs, questions or concerns we may have in the future. Nina, is extremely concerned about making us feel safe and welcome. I would recommend the Highlands to friends and anyone looking for a place where one can feel safe, welcomed and valued! The front office professionals are a rare find. We recommend the Highlands 100%."
