"My husband brought me to Toca Vez for my birthday. Our food was absolutely phenomenal! We shared a porterhouse steak and had some salad and apps. I had two desserts since it was my birthday, and I highly recommend the coconut flan. The staff is wonderful and accommodating. Chip, the owner, even gave me a little tour because we wanted to change seats, but since I hadn't been there before, he graciously showed me around. The only reason for not giving 5 stars for service is because there were a couple of mishaps with our order. Regardless I'm coming here again and again!"

"Took shorty I normally chill with. Our order was; Sparkling water, old fashions and margaritas for the drinks. The bartenders did not skimp on the alcohol as well which was great. Appetizers were calamari and grilled octopuses. We shared a 50-54 oz tomahawk at medium well sided with yuca fries. The food was delicious- 4.8 Atmosphere is really nice low key vibes 4.8 the service was great, very attentive nice and friendly. Your not waiting too long for your food, we ordered and 10 min later our meal was on the table. Great job by Toca Vez."

"Overall a great restaurant. I loved the round tables at this restaurant, much more conducive for conversations. That said, the food was not Mexican even with the “Mexican” ingredients the chef incorporated. For example, the corn risotto was too sweet, and competed with the delicate scallops. The yuca in the grilled octopus served as a filler for what would’ve been a great octopus dish if they are separated vs mixed in together. Short rib was dry and stringy."

"I had a wonderful experience at Toca Vez, especially since it was conveniently located near the Old Mill Inn where I had my wedding. This Mexican restaurant offered a delightful mix of Mexican dishes and seafood options. The warm and inviting atmosphere made it even more enjoyable. Since all the tables were reserved, my friend and I decided to sit at the bar, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The bartenders were entertaining to watch as they crafted various fun drinks. I indulged in a couple of their house margaritas, which were delicious. To start, we ordered the queso, which was great, and the oysters, which were absolutely amazing. For our main courses, I had the braised short rib, which melted in my mouth and was incredibly delicious. My friend opted for the three chicken tacos, which were also a hit. While the service was a bit slow at times because the bartenders were busy making drinks, it didn't take away from our overall experience. We appreciated the ample parking and the friendly interaction with the chef or owner, even though it wasn't entirely clear whether he was the owner. All in all, everything was great, and if I find myself in the area again, I would definitely return to Toca Vez."

"An amazing New Mexican, fusion Steakhouse just what the area needed! I hidden gem in Basking ridge this place is top notch ! Stuffed peppers were amazing & the shrimp cocktail was gargantuan! I tried the prickly pear & was in love it took me right back to Arizona! I had the porterhouse cooked medium with the street corn & mash ! Gorgeous decor & a great date spot!"
