"Homestead is truly the best company for renting a property. They maintain the properties. Paying rent is easy. It appears most of these bad reviews are fake. Someone is just trying to sabotage a small business owner. I have worked with them for ten years. Spiro is the best!!! Always available. They go above and beyond. The maintenance department is impeccable!"
"I reached out to view a property on gay street in west Chester. I was told fill out the application and it would be a 60 fee to do so which I have heard of before. I made an appointment to tour and was the told I had to pay the security deposit($750) in order to view the property (or a minimum of $200)and would get it back if I didn’t like it. I have never heard of this and I have been renting for 4 years ! It seems so sketchy to me."
"Hey to all reviewers, I'm going to submit an application and take my chance with them because they have great homes. Understand that when dealing with a company and renting sometimes ownership has say so of the property. So a lot of bad reviews might have come from people thinking the company is unprofessional when a lot of things are out of their control. Sometimes they are hired to manage a home only. Stay tuned for my next review. I need a home now and I'm going to submit an application while meeting all requirements! So sometimes you apply and somebody can actually beat you to it, because they are ALWAYS going to give it to the MOST QUALIFIED applicant and that's common sense why wouldn't they...."
"I've had a bad experience with this company and am glad I did and did not get stuck with one of their rentals. I found them on the Zillow platform and paid to have my credit run so I could apply and they informed me that it counts for nothing and I'd have to pay again to apply to even be able to see their properties. I am delighted I did not have the opportunity to support them. I would highly not recommend them to anyone. They seem to just be in this industry for a quick buck and do not seem to care about the people inside, especially after reading all of their low reviews. It was especially important to post this on Google after experiencing their bait and switch method on Zillow in which they replied "Zillow isn't our website" **The below comment by this company provides false information** Zillow makes it able for you to apply to multiple rental properties without having your credit run over and over again. This company chooses to not accept their terms (causing a negative impact to renters credit scores), although they use their platform. They should not list on Zillow if they do not intend to use the platform properly. If they changed their business model, and treated people as people instead of a paycheck, they probably wouldn't have so many negative reviews."
"I applied for a commercial rental property on 2/1/2023. I was told told that 7315 W Chester Pike has been vacant for over 3 years and was told that landlord would be very excited to rent the property to me. This was @ 3pm. I was told to put in an application($50)fee of course. Last night I received my background check, which was clear a flawless. Today I realized that the property is listed off of the market. I was excited that I had gotten it. I called the office and spoke with the same woman from yesterday and was told that another applicant saw that space last night and put down a deposit. There was no mention yesterday that anyone was interested in this property for over (3) years. SCAM,SCAM,SCAM!!!! Do not pay application fees for these people. Race discrimination at its best!!!!"
