"I visited Dr. Lasser once. I was new to MD and my son needed a new PCP. After researching this doctor, I thought the reviews could be trusted. He started off nice, but after paying careful attention, I realized he wasn't as great as the reviews made him out to be. He was dismissive of my concerns about my son's health. I addressed specific issues and he brushed them off as no big deal. Well, thanks to his lack of attention and care, those "no big deal" issues I brought up are NOW very real issues - issues that could have been avoided if he'd cared a little more. He didn't seem very concerned with my sons' health. It was almost as if he just wanted to get through everything on his checklist and get out. He also became very irritated when I refused an optional vaccine in-office that day. I told him I would like to do my research and he got a nasty attitude. He became condescending and alluded to my not being able to comprehend the medical information. He assumed I would only use blog sites/etc for my research. Meanwhile, I have a PhD and do both medical and defense research for a living. I'm more than capable of not only comprehending the research, but completing and publishing the research myself. I didn't say anything. I just made note of his bias and condescension and resolved to never return. All in all, I guess he's great if you don't have any real questions and you simply say yes to whatever he recommends. If you expect to be able to make informed decisions or to be able to have a say in your medical care, then this may not be a great fit."

"We left and wont be returning. Conversations were short, curt and dismissive. He never acknowledged my concerns or my childs concerns. A consult felt like money down the drain and a lesson on toxic people. But what cemented our decision to leave Dr Lasser was after I walked in on a conversation among my children. I asked what they were talking about and they said "how Dr. Lasser disrepects you". Done. Never to return."
