"Viejo San Juan Latin restaurant offers a delightful dining experience that blends a spacious and airy atmosphere with the charm of outside seating, complete with a privacy fence for an intimate touch. The restaurant's cleanliness and precautions at the buffet underline a commitment to customer well-being, although my suggestion to cover the food on the employee side would be a more of a food safety for customers. The cuisine, influenced by a Puerto Rican chef, stands out with bursts of flavor that capture the essence of the island. The option to have Alcapurias and empanadas made fresh upon request adds a delightful, personalized touch to the culinary experience. It's evident that the chef's expertise plays a significant role in elevating the overall dining experience. The active presence of the owner on-site is a reassuring touch, emphasizing a commitment to customer satisfaction. Additionally, the availability of ample street parking adds a practical and convenient aspect to the overall dining experience. Viejo San Juan Latin restaurant seems to strike a balance between a welcoming ambiance, flavorful cuisine, and a commitment to customer well-being. It's a place that beckons for those in search of a delightful blend of atmosphere and taste. If you are living here or passing through this is a spot worth spotting in for a bite."
"Walked into this restaurant on a whim because of a lackluster meal down the street. VERY happy we did! 1. As soon as my wife and I walked in, the amazing aroma of the food smacked us in the face. 2. This was probably the cleanest restaurant I've seen in this area/strip. 3. Staff was very polite and courteous. The display of food looked so good, and truly authentic. My wife and I are both from the Island and we thought the food looked AMAZING! No surprise it tasted just as good as it looked. We ordered yellow rice with pigeon peas (arroz con gandules) and pork (pernil) and a dessert of three milks (tres leches). I apologize for the photo, we meant to rake it before we ate, but it was so good we over indulged. The food was so good, please check them out. Will return soon."
"The food is and will be always be amazing ! The Chef is Eddie from PR, and his skills are amazing! We go there because of him being the CHEF! We followed him from his previous restaurant , he cooks with love and so much flavor! The owner is so kind as well , he always greets everyone and asks if everything is good. The only thing for us is that it's a bit overpriced for a meal, the buffet is good as well but again pricy for us. There's a lot of Puerto Rican spots opening up here in the Poconos, so we will be experiencing all of them! #fanofeddiescooking."
