Dr. Steven F. Hirsch, MD

"Dr. H was always very nice to my family. He explains everything. Cute little office where each room is a different theme (ex. Jungle, firehouse, etc.). We thoroughly enjoyed getting a tour in a group with other parents. He is a kind person. The only issue I’ve ever had is with his older, heavy-set receptionist with the short hair. My son had a traumatic birth in 2019 and we had a paperwork issue at the hospital. He wound up with a different last name than the one we had on file at the doctor’s office. We had been released in the late afternoon (due to same paperwork issue) and the next morning we went to see the doctor. The receptionist gave me an attitude because I did not call earlier to advise of the paperwork issue (it happened when they weren’t open and I came in as soon as they opened the next day). She kept cutting me off to remind me I hadn’t called them. My son almost died at the hospital but I guess I should have been able to see the future and realize I was going to have paperwork issues and would need to call the pediatrician. Honestly, the woman is trash. Why work in customer service if you don’t have a polite bone in your body?"

"Dr. Hirsch and his team are friendly and prompt. Dr. Hirsch provides thorough care and listens to my concerns. As a person of color I feel valued and heard at every visit. He is always available online or by the phone. The visit are not rush - Dr. Hirsch and his team take their time to provide quality care."

"Highly recommend Dr. Hirsch. It is very rare in medicine to find a solo practitioner that isn't linked to big corporation like Medstar, your quality of care is never as good in those offices. I think that is what makes this practice so special. They are very busy but they make time for your child if you have an emergency. Dr. Hirsch also gives well researched opinions. He gives very good tips on raising your children, you just have to follow them. I have also seen his lactation consultant and she was excellent. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my child, I even drive 40 minutes to go see him! I also have two nephews and a niece that go to him and they love him. I have referred other friends who have loved Dr. Hirsch."

He's a very knowledgeable and adaptive medical doctor who cares deeply about his patients and their families. He is very thorough with his patients and takes the necessary time to fully engage in conversation with kids and parents alike to ensure everyone is included in conversations related to health and wellbeing. His office is friendly and welcoming environment for kids of all ages and so even vaccination visits are pleasant. We strongly recommend Dr. Hirsch."
