"I am completely blind and had scheduled physical exam at this office. However, when I arrive, both the receptionist and the doctor told me that I need to reschedule and return with someone who can assist me with the paperwork. I asked if any of the staff could assist me, and the doctor said he only had two staffs and they could not provide me with this “service. “ I asked if I could call someone on video call and have them read the paperwork for me, but the doctor said I have to physically bring someone else. I eventually left but was extremely frustrated. This refusal to provide assistance is a violation of the ADA regarding reasonable accommodation, And I will be filing a complaint accordingly. This is the first time I’ve ever experienced discrimination like this at a healthcare facility."

"My son has been a patient of Dr.Poku since he was born ( which is 11 years), we have were involved in an auto accident so my son was seen by him as an emergency appointment. My lawyers office has been trying to obtain his medical records for months, and they have been told several times that my son is not even a patient there. I called the office to inquire about the situation and was immediately told to call around 1pm because they are busy. I called back and another woman answered the phone and told me in a very smart tone that someone would reach out to me in 72 hours, I explained my situation and that I just wanted to know why they would inform my lawyer that my son was never seen in their office, she repeated to me that someone would call me. A week passed by and I still never received a phone call so I decided to call back, the lady answers the phone tells me she would assist and then asks me to hold, but someone else came to the line and told me I need to send a request to have the medical records released. I explained to her that was done months ago and we still have not received them, and was even told they have never seen my son in the office before. She got very rude telling me I need to call back, which then I interrupted her and let her know that I had been calling for over three weeks and have not got any answers. She said that they are busy due to being exposed to Covid, so I need to call back. I politely explained to her that I am just looking for a simple answer and although I understand they are ALWAYS busy I have been calling for weeks and would like to get to the bottom of the problem. She began to yell at me and tell me that I need to call back because she was busy and hung up the phone. I called back and the older lady answered again and attempted to calm me down by saying that the employees are stressed out and she would call me back later to help me….. she never called! Dr. Poku is an amazing doctor, but the team that runs his office is very unorganized and rude. I understand working in healthcare can be stressful, but there is absolutely no excuse to scream at patients over the phone, lie about calling them back, and be out right rude for no reason."

"Dr Poku was nice but the front desk staff was not professional at all. I called to ask if my exam result is ready for pickup, and they keep saying we cannot share the medical record with anyone due to privacy. I am like "???", i am just asking if the result is ready, it's not related to any details. And the front desk staff asked me to help her out by coming tomorrow even though i insisted on coming today because they were off for independence day (that's not the patient's responsibility to do your job right on a busy day) I like Dr Poku, but they really need to train the front desk staff better and be more professional."
