We obtained a second opinion with another MD who referred us to a specialist, confirming the diagnosis I suspected with imaging and surgery has been appropriately scheduled. Her lack of thoroughness during examination and attention to detail as well as her dismissal of my concerns could have led to a potential missed diagnosis and devastating outcomes if I had not pushed the matter further and advocated appropriately. I fear that patients/families that may not have the resources or higher education to advocate for their child may suffer from poorer care. She needs to slow down and take the gentle care and attention with each patient. The quality of care seems to suffer as she serves a large volume."
