"I lived in this property for 5yrs in 2020 my cousin who was visiting committed suicide in my apartment was the most horrible day of my life the apartment charged me over 2000 for clean up I tried to get help from my family but at the time it was impossible and the property manager wasn't willing to compromise on a more reasonable payment plan for a single mother of two kids. They also kick me out because of the situation, stating in the state of Pa they do not need a reason to ask me to leave. the property manager is vindictive and insensitive she seems to have racist tendency. I asked her when she decided to send me to collections if she could leave my co-signer out of this due to the fact he had nothing to do with the situation never even paid rent she said she was going to TRY TO FIND SOMETHING TO MAKE HIM BE RESPONSIBLE AS WELLshes cold-hearted even if you disagree with my situations many other tenants has said the same thing I would not want her as my landlord again"
"It’s a place to live, but that’s about as far as it goes. Been there 8 years, spent about $3,000 in pet fees and can’t even get a garbage disposal replaced, the carpets are a solid 15+ years old. It’s almost like they charge fees but pocket the money instead. Maintenance is non existent, they’ve been thru about 5-6 different maintenance people in the last 2 years. Absolutely horribly managed. Rent was $650 when I moved in and it’s now over $900 and only getting worse. STAY AWAY!!!! Edit: (reply to owner) do you genuinely believe I found the wrong MONROE village on the wrong MONROEville Blvd in the wrong MONROEville? If you want me to delete my comment or change the review rating then make a change to the way you treat your “community” send out a To-Do list with the next rent billing cycle to all your residents and find out what they need done. My review is authentic, your maintenance is unarguably the worst for what we pay for. That’s AUTHENTIC! Believe the review or not, this is your business and you asked for an honest review, accept the negative feedback and make a noticeable difference in the community you manage."
"Rent is too high for what they offer. Buildings are run down and dirty. Since the removal of the office from this complex, bad tenants have had a free for all, doing whatever they please. Constant parking in fire lanes and I've never seen anyone clean up after their dogs. Not to mention the serious mold problem that has to dealt with on a consistent basis."
"Do not...I repeat, DO NOT move into Monroe Village! Trust me. It will appear to be a good idea but you'll regret it immediately after you move in. Frequent issues with plumbing, dishwasher, electric wiring and insect infestation. After you call the property manager, random maintenance men will be sent (since they can't seem to keep the same one) and they'll do small cosmetic fixes before quitting altogether. Also, you'll never see/hear from the property manager after she shows you the unit she's trying to rent out. But hey, if you have any concerns don't worry! She'll happily leave laminated letters on every door to let you know she means business. Incompetence is their goal! If this is what you're looking for, then look no further! This is the place for you..."
"I have one good thing to say about my experience living there, the maintenance was very good and fast. Everything else was not as good. The apartments are small with an even smaller kitchen. There is no parking, and if you do not park in the right spot they threaten to have you towed with a $600 fine. Then when you leave they tell you not to worry to much about the apartment, if you have lived there long enough they will replace/fix everything and paint it again. Just make sure to get everything out of the place. What they don't tell you is that they will keep 400 of the $500 deposit. It is for cleaning and painting the wall they were going to redo anyway and clean the carpet that they don't even keep. I basically paid for all the upgrades the next tenant gets to enjoy. That's how they treat their tenants after being there for seven years. There are better places to live."
