Castle Ridge Apartments

"We have been living at Castle Ridge for 13 years, the first 8 years in a 1 bedroom apartment and the last 5 years in a 3 bedroom apartment when our child was born. All apartments are new with high ceilings, big windows with lots of natural light, and an open concept living room and kitchen, which my wife loves. The heated pool in the summer is a great perk and is never crowded. The fitness center is another good amenity. The location on top of a hill with no through traffic, great air quality and nice views is unbeatable. And last but not least, Carah and Jennifer, who are at the front office every day except Sunday are super friendly and genuinely kind. The maintenance team comprised of Wayne and Will are knowledgeable and very responsive. All issues have been addressed promptly over the last 13 years. As long as we are staying in Pittsburgh, we are not going anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and check out this apartment complex if there is any availability as the occupancy rate is usually close to 100% because it is such a good value for a relatively new apartment complex, with modern design, great location and amenities!"

"I have been living at Castle Ridge for almost four months now. Moving in was an easy process, everyone is friendly (both neighbors and staff), and the surrounding area is very nice. The apartments are really pleasing in terms of design and presentation. The rooms are also nearly soundproof; I cannot hear my roommate unless he is in the lvingroom/kitchen, and even then it is pretty quiet with a closed bedroom door. If there is ever a problem, response is swift and effective - especially with maintenance. The gym is a perfect size, rarely occupied, well-maintained, and cool. The pool is a nice touch as well. Garbage and recycling are taken out regularly, so you are not stuck to a weekly deadline or garbage day. As someone who does not drive, I find that everything is very close and accessible. The closest light rail station is only ten minutes away by walking (the lightrail can get you downtown or to the South Hills Village mall - it even has a full Target attached). I get to work and to my graduate classes via the lightrail and bus system, without ever arriving late. The only "issue" is that if you like to walk or carry home groceries, you have to consider that the apartment is on a pretty steep/long hill. You also should be aware that there are no elevators, so just be aware if you grab an apartment on the second or third floor and have older relatives visit, etc. Overall, the rent is definitely reasonable for all of the perks you get and I would highly recommend almost anybody to consider moving to Castle Ridge."

"I have traveled a lot for work and have lived in over 12 apartment communities. This is by far the best community I have lived in. The layouts are both efficient and spacious. It also provides a nice balance of privacy where you can keep to yourself, but at the same time you always have a sense of belonging the way the complex is laid out with plenty of parking in the center, a gym, a pool, club house, walk to train, I even walk down to the shops to get coffee, go to the gym, etc. So you can be involved as much or as little as you want, and that's what makes it the bet place for me. I've only ever had one small maintenance issue and it was addressed the next day."

"Lived here since 2012, great place to live. Quiet, friendly neighbors, great amenities like a pool, a 24 gym with tanning bed, and great management that helps out with any needs like repairs. I personally like the fact that there is a great neighborhood right behind the apartment with a nice park for kids (also the trick or treating here was great this year). The only thing and this isn't really an issue is no assigned parking spots, but because they have a ton of parking you really won't have to walk far with a bag of groceries. It's been a great place to live with my family, you'll love it too."

"It is a conveniently located, well maintained complex. Residents range in age from kids to seniors. Lots of dog lovers here! It is quiet (peaceful) here as well."
