Busy Beaver

"I love busy beaver stores and this is very nice to have in Lawrenceville. They sell anything you may need even if it's not the biggest of their stores. A bonus is that it's rarely too busy. It's also one of the few places where I always find salt in winter when all the other stores around are out. The staff is hit or miss. I have met very good employees and probably a couple that were very slow and dragged out the check out too long. Overall a great place if you don't feel like going to the bigger stores like Home Depot and Lowe's."

"After their latest screw up with my order, I can't recommend this store. I ordered an entire household's worth of doors. A day after I paid for the order, the store called me and told me I owe more than I was originally quoted. I understand that people make mistakes so I figured I wouldn't argue and just pay for their price mistake. The order arrived in October, two weeks after I ordered them. Upon pickup, one of the doors was damaged. The manager said they'll replace it and to leave it with the store. It took five months (February) to get my last door. I had to call weekly, call the cooperate office, and even call the door supplier. No one wanted to take responsibility for the whole ordeal. I would talk to an employee, they would tell me someone would call me back, and no one ever did. I don't think I've ever had to call a place of business as many times as I did this store. Everyone wanted to blame someone else. Even when they finally got the door in and I picked it up, it was met with rudeness and frustration from the staff as if it was all my fault. Not even an apology from the store. I waited 5 months for my order. I've given this store a lot of business throughout several house renovations and unfortunately after this last experience, I doubt I'll be back…"

"Very clean and well lit store. The employees were very friendly and helpful. I needed help finding the right length fluorescent bulb, and they helped measure with me."

"Not usually my first choice for home improvements, but they send out a sale flyer and sometimes have good deals on useful stuff. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and they often help load heavy stuff into the car. I'm glad they're there."

"This store has become my go-to place for wood and all things needed to improve and repair my house. I love the fact that it takes so little time to get what I need. Parking is free. You can pull or back into the yard for lumber and paving stones etc. Always helpful people. Sales are great with Great Deals card. A little bit of everything. Bigger stores are not far away if this one doesn't carry something. I much prefer this to HD. One downside is they do not cut wood but knowing that when you go helps. This local store gets my business B4 the big boxes do."
