Reviews
"The office is efficient and well maintained. Dr. Tweed is excellent. She is always prepared when she comes into the exam room, having reviewed my history and any test results. She is thorough in her physical exam. She asks appropriate questions and makes sure I am following up with other physicians for non related things."
"Outstanding patient concern and care. They go that extra mile to take care of the patient. While I wouldn’t wish this on anyone, I would overwhelmingly recommend Maryland Oncology Hematology - Annapolis as a provider. Front desk staff, labs, providers on both infusion side and provider side all are outstanding! Can’t go wrong with them. GR"
"Friendly staff. Wait time was excellent. Doctor assistant was personable. Doctor Goldrich addressed all aspects of my health and set up a couple of tests for the year. He also asked about my family and treated me like a friend. Love this office!"
"The wait time was very short. All the staff were very nice and helpful! Dr. Goldrich is wonderful, pleasant and through! He talked to you and not at you and made you feel very comfortable. I would recommend him and his team!!!"
"7/15/23 Update regarding infusion treatment: Although my infusion went really well, I was disappointed with the lack of coordination and consideration regarding patient information about risks, consent, and insurance coverage. No one called me prior to my treatment appointment to confirm that my insurance had approved treatment before my infusion date. I had to call on the day of treatment to request verbal confirmation. At my infusion appointment, when the nurse began to start the IV process, I asked her for a written explanation of my benefits and what I would owe. She said she could get it for me after she started the infusion treatment and that treatment was covered. When I refused treatment until seeing the paperwork showing approval in writing, she seemed annoyed and told me that my treatment would take longer because she was going to go help other patients instead of me. I agreed to wait longer and she came back with the paperwork coordinator within about 10 minutes. Later, after I had looked over the insurance papers and signed the estimate, and also AFTER I had started the infusion treatment, the nurse came back with more consent paperwork that she wanted me to sign regarding all the risks involved with the treatment I was currently receiving. I was annoyed because I should have been given this information about the risks regarding the drug infusion treatment BEFORE starting the treatment. The nurse told me, “You’ve already started the treatment so you might as well sign it.” This seemed really unprofessional to me. I will still go back to continue treatment because the benefits outweigh the risks in my case and I like my hematologist but, I’m changing my review to 4 stars because patients should be provided with written information about what their insurance will cover and about what risks are involved with a particular drug BEFORE starting treatment- not during or after treatment. FYI: The infusion center was clean, attractive, and comfortable. Huge windows flood the area with natural light. It seemed to be run efficiently and patients were well cared for during treatment. Nurses I encountered were generally friendly. I’m grateful to be able to get treatment here. 7/3/23 My first visit to Maryland Oncology and Hematology was great. I was able to get an initial appointment quickly and all of the staff members kind and professional. The doctor treated me like a friend and truly listened to my concerns about treatment. I’m so grateful that I found a team that I feel totally comfortable partnering with on my wellness journey. I also appreciate that they have staff members whose role is to work with patients’ insurance to try to make sure that treatments are covered. I’m actually really excited about starting treatment next week. I’m hoping the medication choice I requested is covered by my insurance. I may update again after dealing with infusion treatment, insurance, and billing. This was just my first appointment."
