"I Don't Understand Why It's So Hard To Get A Appointment"

"I've been getting infusions for over 3 years at Fair Oaks Schar Cancer Center. imagine my shock when I stepped into the Center and some of the nurses (mostly young) were attending patients without masks. Um, COVID is still out there. Cancer patients are immuneocompromised. Gimme a break. I'm calling customer service to demand why nurses and others there are no wearing masks. This is WRONG! Edit: Welp you guessed it, after 4 years of intentionally dodging COVID by not going to restaurants to eat, having groceries delivered to my home, avoiding stores at almost all costs, doing mainly televisit when possible to Doctors...I caught Covid at the Cancer Infusion Clinic on Schar Fairoaks Campus. That day as I walked in a woman )pretty certain she was employee of some sort) was hacking and coughing not covering her mouth tissue in hand, looked directly at my husband and I donned in KN-95 masks declaring she was NOT sick. I was placed in open seating with said women standing behind my chair talking and speaking at anyone and all people walking by both staff and patients. So I was stuck in that chair for 2.5 hours hooked up to an IV. And yuh, and just 3 days later tested positive for Covid. I got really pretty sick. Needed Paxovlid and have to see Primary care to re-run 2 heart tests. This policy of no masks in place with vulnerable people again is wrong, I took precautions but if I'm put out where ppl milling around not masked and sick that can make me sick again is WRONG."

"A simply dreadful experience just trying to make an appointment to see the hematologist. You leave your name on a voicemail, wait 3 days for them to call you back, only to hear that your situation has to be reviewed by a "scheduling nurse" to see where in line to get scheduled; then you get called back by the receptionist saying it will be 2 weeks before you can get an apptmnt because you've been triaged to the end of the list. Gee, I felt so special. Save your time and possibly your life: GO ELSEWHERE!!"
