"Coffee tasted bad. Nutella latte doesn't taste like it has any Nutella in it. Nice pastry selections but please work on coffee... also the kiosk system is very confusing. It does not have any function to choose such as light ice, no foam, extra hot buttons... The patio area is not being maintained at all. So many bugs and ants."
"This place has a cozy atmosphere, several different seating arrangements available. There is some music playing in the background, so it might be difficult to concentrate if you want to do deep work. I ordered three items: puro gusto veggie, chocolate chip cannoli, and latte. The veggie and latte tasted like top-quality stuff, but the cannoli was just average, similar to what you would get from a grocery store chain. It was not up to the mark of the cannolis I have tasted in bakeries around Boston. The people serving also looked like they were in a hurry and spilled some coffee, even though we only saw five or six people at the time of our visit."
"It’s like it wants to be a European vibe but all the humanity has been stripped. No one greets you as you enter. You order on the screen and there is no interaction. At some point the order arrives and a human drops and runs and you get a Grubhub receipt. I think human interaction is definitely part of the vibe for Italian cafes(or it was when I was there not so long ago.) Cappuccino was fine but I had better in Ireland last week. Pastry was very oily but tasted good but the whole “everything cooked and processed and put together” in the case Airport Meets DC feeling. Nice try, you didn’t get it yet."
"Puro Gusto Cafe serves the slowest lunch in town. They offer tasty sandwiches but take ages to make them. I ordered their prosciutto-mozzarella panini which took 35 minutes to make. For a downtown DC lunch spot, this is unacceptable. I couldn’t enjoy my sandwich because I had to devour it and run to my next meeting. There were only 4 guests in a massive cafe… so, I have no clue what took them so long! Don’t waste your time, there’re plenty of options nearby. Otherwise, the sandwich was tasty, servers were okay, and prices are great. My sandwich was $9.99 - unheard of in downtown DC. For the price, the taste was amazing and the room was spacious. I wish they didn’t take ages - probably the reason why they didn’t have many clients during peak lunch hours."
