"Stopped by here finally after someone had recommended it to me when I first moved to Georgetown. I was looking to setup and work for a bit on my computer, but quickly determined it wasn’t a cafe to do that. They don’t have WiFi and the seats are not necessarily comfortable for long stints on a laptop, but what they actually have created is a nice quiet spot for people to meet, gather and spend time with each other. It’s a very nice haven. I also think I will come back for writing / manual work in order to relax and spend some time without the notifications of email and slack popping up. The cider I ordered was good and I was happy to see that option on the menu, especially during these chilly days in January. Thank you."
"Baked & Wired is such a fun, and cute little spot to stop in to grab a drink and a sweet treat. Their cupcakes are super yummy and come in lots of flavors. They’re larger than an average cupcake, and relatively denser cake. I’ve had every flavor, but it’s hard to pick a favorite. It can get really crowded and always seems to have a line. Definitely worth a try!"
"I love baked and wired! Their cupcakes are good, their baked goods are good, and their coffee is amazing. The service is always great! My favorite is when they have their cinnamon rolls on special— the best cinnamon rolls in DC. You really can’t go wrong with anything there— their biscuits began my love of combinations of rosemary and goat cheese and chive and goat cheese. For baked goods, I am a fan of their OMG Bars, buckeye brownies (midwesterner right here), and the lil Bertha. Go to cupcake is probably chocolate doom, but I’ve tried most and they’re all amazing! A must visit if you’re in the area."
"A small "off the beaten path" cupcake store that rivals Georgetown cupcakes, although they serve much more moist cupcake options. While they don't have the sheer number of flavors that Georgetown cupcakes offers, they have a few unique flavors and their cupcakes are bigger. It is also attached to a cafe and has a much nicer area to sit and enjoy a midday treat."
"Stopped in Georgetown just to try this place out and we were not disappointed. They had really good lattes and I tried the chaider, it had a nice presentation and great flavor. For food we tried the tessita cupcake, carrot cake cupcake, and the bee sting. The cupcakes had really good icing to cake ratio. The tessita was definitely on the sweet side, too sweet for our liking for a breakfast item definitely more of a dessert. I wish we had grabbed more to bring home!"
