A previous reviewer stated they showed up 8:17 pm and Google stated it was open. Your response stated that there was a discrepancy between Google hours and actual operating hours. However, your website states you are open until 10:30pm. I myself arrived at 12:30 on a Wednesday....again Google said open...website...open....real life... Closed. I would try to fix that as these negative reviews on operating hours can really hurt a business. Good luck and I wish you the best."

"If I could give Del Ray Boccato restaurant ZERO STAR rating I would in a HOT minute! I placed my to go order through UBEREATS, once UBEREATS app told my food was ready for pick-up. I go in but only to find they NEVER started my order. So I had to wait until it was prepared. I also have to mention the two guys working behind the counter were NOT welcoming at all, the older guy seem irritated that I came into the restaurant. Aside from things I mentioned, I will NEVER set foot in this place because it is NOT CLEAN, the City of Alexandria as well as the State Health Department NEED to inspect this place ASAP. This is what I saw as I was waiting for my food near the cash register. If Del Ray Boccato place food on top of a DIRTY showcase container and Chocolate Cake that is not keep at the right temperature. Chocolate turns to liquid and the texture of the entire cake is soggy which I had to trash. I'm afraid to know what goes on behind the kitchen. I have to say from my experience with Del Ray Boccato STAY AWAY there are other better quality restaurants in the area."

"Had a great experience for my brief visit to this gem. I happened to be in the hat store next door when we left and decided to stop for a snack. The owner was very friendly and very engaging with answers we had about his products. He offered us samples of Gelato and explained the ingredients/ tastes of each of the fresh empanadas. We settled on 2 each so we can sample each other’s and we were not disappointed. Nice/ flaky/ buttery crust, well seasoned, and delicious. Worth a visit for lunch or a quick snack on the go."

The "cook" was making food right in the middle of the store where we walked right by it a few times. The most unsanitary thing I think I've seen. It's a shame, they need a bigger store and someone from the health inspection ASAP."
