"The Taiwanese Hot Chocolate was mid. Also their geography is all messed up. Hokkaido is the northernmost part of Japan. I had to google it to make sure there wasn't also a Hokkaido in Taiwan. "The Hokkaido Essence" or whatever is just caramel, they said. How does it make sense for "Taiwanese" hot chocolate to have the essence of Hokkaido in it? That's like saying Portugese Iced Tea has as it's main ingredient Icelandic cinnamon."
"I have been here probably about 3 times now. Good quality boba, not the best I’ve tried per se, but definitely up there. I like how big their selection of flavors is. The atmosphere is cozy but gets crowded later at night. Customer service has been good as well. My favorite drink so far is Blueberry Milk Tea."
"The place is really cute, their staff are very nice and fast (drinks came really fast, maybe it was a slow day since we visited a Wednesday around 5:30PM?) Drinks are average, asked for Taro Cream so I can taste more of the Taro flavor. They use non-dairy creamer for their milk teas, but they use regular milk for their slushies (if you guys are looking for vegan options, I would recommend just their milk teas or fruit teas). Probably coming back since it’s the closest Tea place near my workplace."
"Feb 2022 Good service, but disappointing bubble tea. The place itself was clean and average size for a bubble tea place. A small table set off to the right holds Grubhub orders. There were dividers all along the back counter and the staff all wore masks. We got a variety of milk teas since we were curious, but they were all rather disappointing, especially when compared to Gong Cha. We got the Strawberry, Taro, Hazelnut, and Tiramisu milk teas with 0% sugar. Except the hazelnut, which uses a syrup and therefore has a set sugar level. Note we always get 0% sugar at a new place to check out the original flavor of the teas. The best one was the strawberry, which tasted half strawberry, half bitter black tea. I was very surprised the strawberry wasn't pink at all, even though it had some strawberry chunks. The taro had a faint taro taste and mainly tasted like almond. Very disappointing. The hazelnut had a definite nutty taste but a slightly artificial aftertaste. Not too bad, but still there. Finally, the tiramisu tasted like stale chocolate (yes, STALE). Now tiramisu usually does have chocolate on top, but it's not the main flavor of tiramisu. For the staleness, I think maybe they tried to add a coffee flavor but totally failed. Note you can choose the type of tea for the tiramisu: black, green, or oolong. We went with the oolong, but maybe the green tea would have tasted better. Either way, very disappointing. The bubble tea at Gong Cha tastes much better. Service was quick and friendly enough. The lady seemed a bit exasperated when I asked her to repeat a question, but I can give her a pass since it was a late Saturday evening. A quick note on the bag: the middle of the bag was notched to provide a snug fit for the bubble tea cups. Very interesting. Most likely won't come again."
"First time at Ding Tea this weekend. My kid wanted milk tea and it's next door to the Thai place I was ordering lunch from! So, easy decision to go! Their COVID precautions are masks are required. They had a table at the entrance with the menu as well as a giant container of hand sanitizer. I got the Signature Milk Tea with 1/3 sweetness and 1/2 ice. Kid got the Hokkaido Black Milk Tea with 1/2 sweetness and 1/2 ice. Both were pretty good. Kid drank hers really quick though. Glad I got the less sweet option. Can't imagine it at 100% sweetness level. Would definitely be too much for my taste. It's great that they offer choices - but most of the other bubble tea places in the area do as well. Signature Milk Tea was flavorful. I really liked the taste of the tea. Kid says hers was really good. We'll be back to try more."
