"This past year, I had a horrible experience at the Smithfield Street H&R Block location. I noticed my tax payment was not withdrawn by Block on the due date as was promised. After my multiple follow-up efforts with this location during which employees stated that the IRS designated my taxes as paid on time, I finally called a different Block location. An employee there told me the Smithfield location did not press the final button to file my taxes. I received a late return penalty from the IRS. I will not use Block for tax prep again."
