"Run. FAST. Dr Johnson is fine when she shows up, but several of our appointments she just didn't show up to (we met virtually). She doesn't answer the phone, doesn't reply to emails. Communication is non-existent, refills don't always get sent to the pharmacy. Do not recommend."
"Very difficult to get ahold of through email or phone. Recently showed up twice for a scheduled appointment and no one was there. Secretary got back to me over a week later stating they were sick. Constantly having to remind her of medications that I have already taken. Depends way too much on her medical book. After all this she didn't even have the decency to call to apologize. Disappointing and unprofessional for a mental health provider."
"I have given this provider multiple chances at redemption, but have had enough. The office is impossible to get ahold of at the best of times. This past week I was stood up for a telehealth appointment and tried to contact the office repeatedly. I was contacted by email 4 days later stating that the provider and her front desk staff have been sick. There was no way to leave a message, and no one called to cancel appointments that the provider was not going to make. This was after multiple times that I have tried to contact the office and could never get a response within 48 hours over the past year. All this being said, I also recommend someone think twice about using this provider in general. I was given incorrect medical diagnosis (of an STD) due to incorrect understanding of my bloodwork. This was found by another provider after seeking treatment. Overall I have just had a bad experience and held on too long because of the pain of finding a new provider."
"I was also sent a letter saying I was being discharged as a patient because I decreased my medicine dosage without permission. This was after I called and did not receive an answer or on another occasion drove to the facility after being told to come and when I got there no one was there, and finally out of desperation even texted Jennifer and I still couldn’t get in touch with her. Ironically, the only reason I even considered texting her was because Jennifer had texted me first about her cat with a veterinary question. I found this very unprofessional. Jennifer doesn’t work for free and neither do I. I don’t appreciate being texted on my day off for medical advice for her cat. Why would she think she didn’t need to make a veterinary appointment? I had to make therapist appointments with her. Jennifer also was out of the office for a month at a time on 3 different occasions for various reasons and therefore would refuse to adjust my medication for a month until she returned in case there was a problem. She certainly wasn’t available when she was in town and I had an adverse reaction to a medication. I called to inform her but did not hear from her therefore I chose to decrease my dosage. I am in the medical profession and when I feel I am having a bad reaction to a medicine and am unable to reach my therapist I will do what I feel is medically best for my own health. I never increased any medication dosages. I did decrease the dosage and the adverse symptoms stopped within two days. When I would call to reach her and no one answered, I was told the receptionist was no longer there. The next time I did reach someone, she was new and obviously had been given no training before being allowed to talk to patients. When I finally got through, I left a message for Jennifer about what I experienced and that I had decreased back to the original dosage until I heard from her. I then received an email saying I could no longer be a patient. That was not a problem for me. I had already found a new therapist. I don’t need a know it all, control freak who is never available to dismiss me for decreasing medicine that made me feel sick. I find it very offensive being told that I don’t understand or know pharmacology of certain drugs when I took pharmacology and have been practicing for 27 years. If you are looking for a compassionate therapist who is available when there is a problem, look elsewhere! Dr. Suzanne Rittler"
