"I am a new patient and had a virtual appointment scheduled for today. I have been in the virtual waiting room for over an hour waiting for the provider. I completed new patient forms and confirmed my appointment twice, so I am not sure how the provider missed my appointment. I have tried messaging the provider and office staff, but have not heard anything. It is apparently too early for the office staff to answer the phone. This is honestly ridiculous. Is this how patients trying to seek help with mental health are treated? It was a huge step for me to seek help for mental health, and now the doctor and office staff are unable to be reached for my scheduled appointment. Ridiculous."

"Provider is great. However ancillary staff could not comprehend that an abrupt stopping of my meds would result in a hospitalization. Lifestance Richmond office abruptly cancelled my apt that I had waited over 2 months for and the receptionist also told me it violates company policy to provide me with information where else to get a refill in order for me not to run out of meds and be hospitalized. She actually told me she could not answer questions like that or refer me to anyone else with that info. simply because I wasn't this clinic's patient yet. That policy must be reviewed, then she refused to make me a sooner appt. insisting I had to speak to her Director. She told me the Director would call me back and I struggled to make it understood that I was not available by phone because I was working. Finally she found me a sooner apt. with a Northern VA provider. Then I was told I had to redo all intake forms for the new provider, but the Vienna, VA provider never received those new intake forms which I redid 2 days earlier. So the new provider had no background information on me at all prior to my initial visit. I feel the Richmond Office receptionist treated me very poorly. She lacks the basic comprehension about psych patients to even be booking our appointments. Your. Computer system should be interconnected with Northern VA. Patients should not have to repeat intake forms online which the new office never bothers to upload to the new provider."
