"They keep canceling appointments. My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD a few months back and we still haven't had an appointment because either they have a water leak or the counselor cancels on a constant basis. It's very frustrating when you're trying to get your child help and the facility itself is incompetent."
"Horrible organization. Not Christian like at all. The salt add is unprofessional and the counselors are rude and late"
"I was initially satisfied with services, but when my counselor transitioned from my case, there was a delay in replacement of that therapist. Additionally, if a therapist failed to attend an appointment, the office would still bill me for services not rendered. This happened on several occasions. I was billed multiple times for non-service and the office response time was delayed to rectify questions posed on my case. If I had questions, no one would respond for over 3 weeks! It appears that there is a high turn over with clinicians due to lack of support and organization. Accountability is severely lacking with this agency. It was more stressful acquiring mental health support with this agency than the support they offered. Very disappointing!"
"I was going through a very rough period in my life and was lucky enough to have found Safe Harbor for counseling. Unlike a previous reviewer, I was not interested in a discussion of the bible with my counselor but seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable therapist to help me through some issues. My counselor was able to weave Christian teachings with solid advice on how to move forward. Exactly what I needed."
"I was unfortunate and got a very unreasonable counselor. She definitely didn't like being asked questions, particularly regarding the bible. I was interested in your level of knowledge of the bible as well as whether or not she was wise. I thought that fair enough. I was kicked out after the 3rd time for "not trusting" the counselor. What I learned most from the 3 times I saw my counselor was her deep, white-knuckled, tight-fist grip of her works righteousness. She understood, and even agreed that humans are saved by faith, through grace. Didn't own it. And after that, I was kicked out for asking too many questions/lack of trust. Please check the Questions list at Christian Counseling Education Foundation CCEF (do a google search). Don't be afraid to ask your questions. 2nd star is for Donna Lucker. Legit, genuine, humble, compassionate, gracious and kind."
