"Today I had an appointment at 930 am and I wasn’t seen until 10:12 am. After waiting for 30 minutes the only black MEDICAL ASSISTANT in the office she came out to the get me by waving her hand to come back. No greeting, no acknowledgement, nothing. I took my time to get up, already not feeling my best. She came back to check to see if I was following her and I let her know I was coming her response to me was “I didn’t know if you saw me or not” and I respond “of course because you didn’t even acknowledge me”. From this point I’m very irritated. She begins to tell me “but you looked right at me” and I said “Are you sure I saw you or not because you’re contradicting yourself”. She left out and said to me “let me step out for a minute” and I agreed. She came back with the same energy and I refused her service , which I had every right to because just from the beginning she was very unprofessional and she thought I wasn’t going to call her out on it . Dr. Lubman didn’t ask me what happened , she told me that she was going to be denying me of service of my unborn child moving forward. She also accused me of stating that I didn’t talk to the “Doctor” previously which was not true . Customer service is very important and personal needs to be left on the outside because it will always be waiting for you . This was my second appt , I never had a problem prior to this and this nasty having attitude BLACK MEDICAL ASSISTANT was not there for my first appt. She doesn’t address people by their names , she does not greet people . It’s 930 in morning , you have no smile , you lack hospitality and everybody goes through life but she’s ghetto and she gives black woman like me a bad taste . I waited almost an hour for terrible service and I was dropped as a patient . I will complain to every board and I would never recommend this Dr or her offices . She’s at pikesville and Owings mills . At the end of it all Dr. Lubman told me “don't schedule at Owings Mills if you don’t want to see me” and I replied , “I never said I didn’t want to see you , it’s you who don’t want to see me.” After this experience it teaches me that it’s all about the money . There’s no empathy , compassion or humanity and after this , people will lose jobs and the staff will be better because I know GBMC doesn’t play when it come to patient care ."
"They traumatized me during my birth experience and then kicked me out of the practice when I made a complaint about them; Janet starkey delivered my baby and when I told her my baby was coming she told me that I just had to use the bathroom discrediting me, Then Dr Kasner was very rude about my stillbirth he told me that I didn’t need to recover in the hospital because I didn’t have a real baby…. Which caused me immense emotional distress these people are monsters when you’re pregnant, strongly would not recommend. They are going to traumatize you during your birth experience and then throw you to the side for advocating for yourself."
"I’ve been attending the owings mills and Towson office for almost 20 years. I’ve noticed the quality of customer service has declined over the years. I should not have to wait an hour to be seen. What happened to an appointment being cancelled if the client is 15 minutes late. Front desk staff should inform patients of such lateness. Staff are on the phone while patients are waiting to be seen. Staff are playing inappropriate music. The professionalism is completely gone in comparison to even 5 years ago."
"Had a great experience through my pregnancy and delivery. Dr Ernst delivered my baby. I was nervous and had lots of questions about literally everything. All of my questions were answered and now in postpartum I have brought my baby to my appts and all of the staff is excited to see her. I definitely recommend!"
"Service itself was okay aside from having to wait well beyond my appointment time both visits (30+ minutes) but billing has been a nightmare and that’s why I won’t be returning. I paid my full balance in the office on my second visit but then received another bill a month later. While I was inquiring about this, Dr. Pegues quickly sent the bill I received in the mail of $28 to a debt collector……… I learned in these cases Capital Women’s Care takes 25% of the total sent to a debt collector. In addition to that, I still had to pay a remaining balance with Capital Women’s Care. After speaking with the debt collector, she commented she also thought this was very strange. In total, I’ve had to pay a debt collector, a debt collectors fee (which goes to CWC) in addition to a remaining balance at Capital Women’s Care. This feels untrustworthy to have a small balance sent to a debt collector within such a short period of time. I’ve been to many OBGYNs and have never experienced anything like this with billing. I’ve also never had to deal with a debt collector for anything. I don’t believe all doctors are like that at this location but be please aware of Dr. Pegues when scheduling here."
