"The front desk staff there is very cold and unfeeling. They're like robots. The dental technicians there act like they're actual dentists, and think that they can make serious dental surgery decisions without consulting with the actual dentists, and give wrong information. A dental technician decided that the dentist shouldn't do dental surgery for my 8 year old on his adult teeth, although he desperately needed it. She told us that they can only work on baby teeth. Well, that's not true; because the dentist there did oral surgery on my other son's adult teeth. She was rude and very unprofessional. Dr. Davis is the only person that I can tolerate there. She's the only person with manners. The other dentist there thinks that she knows how the University of Maryland Dental school works, but clearly doesn't. They referred my son there twice for dental surgery, and the dental school told me both times that they do not sedate children to put them to sleep anymore. They only can do nitrous. When I reported back to The Kids Dentist, they argued with me and told me that I was wrong, and this after physically going to the dental school twice for dental work that they refused to help my son with! The same work that they did on my other son. Make that make sense! A technician there told me this and argued with me before even consulting with the dental surgeon there. Like, wth! And my son is very tolerable with dental procedures. Then she proceeded to give me another referral and told me to "Deal with it myself "! So rude, and very ugly! I've found a kid's dentist that actually does everything for children who have adult teeth. They also have a surgery center that helps with sedating children for dental surgery. They're the complete package, and they're name is Front Row Dentistry. They're extremely professional, patient with children, respectful to parents, and are way more knowledgeable. They're dental technicians are incredibly helpful and the dentist there needs an award. Do not got to The Kids Dentist in Owings. Mills! Especially if your kids have problems with their adult teeth! It's like, Duh, kids develop adult teeth! That doesn't mean that they are actual adults; They're still kids!"
"Today I experienced the worst Treatment by Dr. Davis. I have been taking my daughter there for almost two years and had great service until meeting her today. She came into the Room did not introduce herself but I thought ok she may just have busy schedule. Next she attempted to give my daughter a medication she had already had a reaction to and when I asked her to explain the procedure she wanted to do she became angry. I asked her if the regular provider she sees could perform the procedure because I felt more comfortable. She then became upset and told me no because she was the owner and the provider worked for her. She then stated she would be referring me to another office because she has the right to as owner. when I got to front desk I asked for the referral the receptionist went and asked Dr. Davis and she told her to tell me to call the number on the back of my card. This was totally uncalled for especially in front of my daughter that didn't understand why she became angry because we were asking questions about procedure. When people say one bad apple spoils the bunch the owner should definitely not be allowed to service anyone."
"I should give zero stars, not because of the dental assistant or receptionist but due to Dr. Davis, she should really be ashamed of herself as a person and a professional. I’ve never met Dr. Davis before my child’s surgery! she never met or assessed my child’s mouth but DOCUMENTED SHE DID. Even the nurse from Saint Agnes that called for surgery prep was utterly shocked when I told her she’s never seen my child who is supposed to do the Surgery the next day. I was under the impression that even though I’ve never spoken to Dr. Davis, seen her or had any encounter with her she would AT LEAST go over the plan of treatment for my child before going into surgery the morning of. That morning, she had no clue what the treatment would be or what was procedures were being done. She just gave me a paper to sign with a wide rang of procedures listed that would be done when she sees her mouth and X-rays for the first time in the operating room. She didn’t even bother looking at the X-rays from the dental office. The paper was generalized for any dental patient, NOTHING specific to my child! How scary! So if she wanted to EXTRACT 10 teeth, she WOULD make that decision on her own and after it’s done, she would then tell the Parent what she decided to do! Are you serious? The dental assistants obtained X-rays and did cleaning but when did dental assistants determine that a patient need surgery? Then she said my child wouldn’t tolerate laughing gas in office for multiple treatments, WE WERE NEVER GIVEN THAT OPTION! We NEVER received or reviewed a treatment plan! how would you know when you NEVER ASSESSED HER MOUTH OR HER X-RAYS? The audacity to not even briefly take a look at anything regarding the patient before you even walk into the room the morning of surgery is very careless, ignorant and bold! She has no integrity! I decided to not go through with my child’s surgery, as I’m taking off her gown to put her clothes back on to leave, she walks in with a treatment plan (what I’ve repeatedly asked for in the 1st place). Poor bedside manner and didn’t acknowledge my child not once other than asking her name with a tone like she’s talking to an adult. Why even specialist in pediatric dentistry if you show NO Interest in children whatsoever. Doesn’t have the personal or professional characteristics for it. She should look into different profession because this specialty is not for her! Only thing I could think of is she’s doing surgery to bill insurance for extreme dental work that could have been handled in the office."
"My experience at the dentist office My son has a disability, and the lady that helps the doctor came at me about my kid. Well the doctor brought me out of the room to talk to me one on one about what’s the next step we can do for my son because my son cannot sit down or stay still, so she already knew he was anxious And she didn’t feel comfortable to work on his mouth because one move. She can hurt him on accident. Well she went out there and took me out there to talk to me to talk about the next step and this lady she was like you’re gonna let your child decide I look at her I said, who are you, I said my child has a disability and he has really bad anxiety. I said, I think you need to mind your business and I start talking to the doctor again my son was being held by his father and the lady literally like ran into my son’s father’s arm and it pissed him off. I was like go outside. I will take care of this because my son’s father will snap and I already saw getting ready to happen if you can’t work in a place with kids and let the dr and parent make the right decision then you shouldn’t be working there stay at your pay scale"
"If I can give zero stars I would this place when downhill since my child been here over the past 8 years. They call you to confirm a appointment while you are at work then you get a text saying your appointment is cancelled. Then you reschedule get there get in line because you have others in front at the front desk then get to the desk oh your appointment cancelled because you wasn't here exactly when the appointment was. I am in line waiting 5 mins over. I have to move on with another dentist. they are the worst I asked for my child's records because we done. I wouldn't recommend. I asked to speak with a supervisor "they not here" lol"
