"They do not answer the phone and rarely call you back. If they call back they call from an unknown/blocked number so you cannot call back directly. Even when you call during office hours, outside of the lunch break hour, you still get directed to the emergency answering service, never the actual reception. I know during COVID they had receptionists working from home and taking calls but now in 2023 I have never gotten anyone on the phone at all. Currently, I have been calling for 3 weeks straight to inquire about a prescription - one that I cannot have long gaps in, and have still not been able to directly speak to anyone associated with the office. Only answering service, that can only take messages and pass along. The few times that I actually met with Dr. Rutland were good. There have been at least two occasions in the past 4-5 years that I was scheduled for an appointment with Dr. Rutland in advance and even confirmed in the days leading up and then a totally different provider walked into my room for my annual appointment. I would've much rather rescheduled. One time in particular a woman provider than was filling in for Dr. Rutland (without my knowledge) asked me about my medical history and medication and then she blurted out a diagnosis saying "oh yeah, that's because you have xyz" and completely glazed over it and tried to move on in conversation and tried to write it in my chart. No, I do not/did not have said diagnosis and it was quite traumatizing for someone that didn't have any medical rapport with me or even know my history to assume that and try to write it in my chart."

"I hate to leave this because I've been a patient for years - but I've transferred out, and I reccomend you do, too. Dr. Rutland hasn't been seeing patients outside of a hospital setting apparently since December. A surprise to you? Was to me. Their answering service doesn't even know. Apparently, notices were sent to all patients (it wasn't). Getting a hold of them is impossible. I left two urgent messages across two days before someone finally called me. Have an emergency? Too bad. And this is absolutely not the first time this has happened. For the last few years, her staff never answers the phone, she is late and distracted in appointments, you don't get call backs for test results, and it's just all around disorganized. I tried to stick it out and excuse this behavior due to my long relationship with this practice, but I realized that no one at this office actually cares about the patients, because the would not be acting this way if they did. Switch. Please don't do what I did and wait it out."

"If I could give this place zero stars I would. Do your self a favor and AVOID this place at all cost. Every single member of the staff is completely unprofessional and DOES NOT care about your health. I suffered a miscarriage during a pregnancy while being a patient there and was completely left on my own, with constant misinformation and going ignored when voicing my concerns. This resulted in a 4 month miscarriage process, something that I should have never had to go through. I ended up switching to a new OB practice and was told that the previous care that I received under Dr. Rutland was completely unacceptable and medically irresponsible. The entire staff should be ashamed of themselves for how they handle the health of their patients, pregnant or not. I would never want anyone else to experience what I did. Again, do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!"

"If I could give this place zero stars I would. The staff is so rude and incompetent I have never been to a doctors office where the staff truly does not care about the patient. You are lucky if they answer your call and if they do you are lucky if you are not on hold for 15 min. The staff has promised to call me back about appointments several times and of course they never call. This is absolutely the worst doctors office I have ever visited in my entire life, the staff does not care about the patients and they are so incredibly rude. Dr. Rutland herself is very sweet but her staff is the reason she will continue to lose patients. I called to make a nurse appointment for my depo shot (after the cancelled my original appointment) and the girl who answered the phone said first appointment it’s two months out, I told her the depo shot is time sensitive and I’m due for it and they cancelled my original appointment and this girl had the audacity to get an attitude and tell me too bad December is first appointment. WORST STAFF EVER. AVOID THIS PLACE. the staff is absolutely disgusting in the way they treat patients they do not care about your well being.AVOID AVOID AVOID"

"I started going to Dr. Rutland after my old gynecologist left her practice. My first appointment was rescheduled due to an emergency on her end, but I couldn't make it to the rescheduled meeting a week later, so it was 3 weeks later. She really listened to me and my concerns about my period and wanted to investigate the cause. She also approved and performed my bilateral salpingectomy. She was so supportive throughout the entire process. She was gentle during my appointments, even when I was scared, and answered every question I had. We came up with a plan after my surgery for how to manage my periods. I am so grateful to her. I have had issues with one of the nurses, including late/delayed appointments, but not the worst I've dealt with."
