"I feel I need to share this... My wife and I had our little boy in 2013. Through most of our pregnancy Collerius was our OB, she made us feel horrible and like we did something wrong because we were pregnant and " older" parents. (Me, 46. My wife,44 at the time.) It got so bad that we had to petition the head of obstetrics for a different Obgyn. ( Dr. Prevas. He was fantastic!) This was literally 1 week before my son was born. This woman was horrible in what should have been a joyous time and added undue stress to our experience. Horrible, horrible woman."

"I had a terrible experience with Dr. Collerius as my OB. I was clinically depressed my entire pregnancy, which she did nothing to treat. My water broke prematurely at 29 weeks and I was hospitalized on bed rest. After several days on bed rest, I told her I felt pressure as though the baby was pushing into the birth canal. She dismissed my concerns and told me that I wasn't dialated. I told her that the weekend OB had said I was 1 cm dialated 3 days before. She yelled at me and told me that no one ever would have checked that I was dialated and anyway 1 cm wasn't enough for the baby to push through. Despite the obvious logical fallacies in that argument, I was so tired after days of not sleeping that I just shut down and tried not to cry from being yelled at and didn't argue with her. Then she gave me Ambien to help me sleep that night. That night I made the night nurse check and, as I suspected, my daughter's entire leg was in the birth canal to the point the foot was visibly sticking out. I was rushed to the OR for an emergency c-section. Did I get an apology for her not listening to me? No, she blamed it on the Ambien and dismissed the fact that I'd voiced my concerns previously and said she'd never prescribe Ambien again. And she only came to check on me once in the 5 days I was in the hospital post partem, just that one time to tell me it was Ambien's fault despite the fact I told her I thought a baby was sticking out hours before she prescribed it. So, if you're her patient on bed rest in the hospital, you won't get anything to help you sleep because it's the scapegoat for her own bad bedside manner. She also won't listen to your concerns and won't treat your pregnancy related mood disorders. This happened almost seven years ago and the terrible way she treated me still haunts me. Tears well up as I write about it. I hope your birth experience goes as expected with no emergencies but, if it doesn't, you don't want Dr. Collerius at your side."
