Dr. Robert Pegues

Dr. Robert Pegues is a renowned doctor specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology, located at 5 Park Center Court in Owings Mills, Maryland, United States. Dr. Pegues received his Medical degree from Duke University and underwent training in General Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by further training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Maryland. He is a pioneer in laparoscopic surgery, being one of the first surgeons in the U.S. to perform laparoscopic hysterectomies. Dr. Pegues has trained numerous other surgeons in this advanced technique and has a special interest in laparoscopic procedures, Gynecologic Urology, and treatment of pelvic prolapse.

In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Pegues is actively involved in hospital and professional organizations, serving as the Chairman of Quality Assurance in Gynecology at GBMC for over 25 years. He is also dedicated to teaching and mentoring surgical residents and medical students at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine OB/GYN program, as well as providing national lectures for doctors preparing for their final board examinations.

Dr. Pegues resides in Towson with his wife Cheri and son Brenton, and enjoys spending quality family time at home. He is an active member of the local community, participating in school programs and his church. In his free time, Dr. Pegues is a talented pianist, playing the piano and organ in church worship services and community events.
