"Would never recommend these guys personally. Had brought a handgun to them to be fixed for a seized firing pin a couple years ago, was told it could take a while for it to be fixed and to give them 6 months because it was a TT33 tokarev. After 6 months, I was told they couldn’t source the parts. And to give them a few more months. 2.5 YEARS went by. Couldn’t get in touch with them via phone or email and at this point I was living 2+ hours away. I went back down finally in person, they other attempts I tried when I was in the area they were always closed, finally was able to get in. First couldn’t find it, finally found a box of parts that contained my handgun. In pieces, slide was partially drilled out in attempt to fix it. Was rusted at this point and never fixed. Took the box of parts and walked out, sold it as spare parts. I am sure others have had good experiences, but I won’t recommend them."
"Owner is the worst. Bought a hand gun. Back in June shot it a few times it Jammed took it back owner said he oiled and cleaned it after getting back maybe after 15 bullets target practice gun jammed again . Jeff informed plus asked to order 2 boxes of 9 m bullets this was 3 weeks ago still can't get in touch with him only voice mail . Bad business never there. If you can get in touch he will say he just came back from his camp"
"I have purchased multiple guns, new & used, over the years from Jeff. I have always felt confident that I was getting a great price and even better advice. Jeff was always patient and helpful with my numerous questions. I am still far from an expert, but any knowledge I have gained was through Jeff’s assistance. I was honestly surprised by the negative reviews, but after I investigated the authors of said reviews, I concluded that they aren’t often pleased with anyone’s service. Thanks, Jeff!"
"As other reviews have touched on, this place is a bit of a trap for anyone that's newly getting into firearms. I should know, because that was me two years ago (and arguably still me today). I had purchased a new firearm from a larger store, and took it here to get the stainless steel polished to a nicer finish. I didn't know how long it should take, but after two months, I started to get worried. Due to the erratic store hours, I left multiple emails at the contact address on their website, but never got any response. It was finally completed more than 3 months later because the one gunsmith was out. Even if this turnaround time was completely absurd compared to online gunsmiths I discussed it with (weeks at most), I could have forgiven it if any status updates were given along the way. My CC pistol is a bit of a lemon for the price I paid in my naivety, but the bullet still comes out of the correct end, so it could be worse. What prompted me to write this up was my SKS purchase. It's a nice Norinco Vietnam-Era model, and was around the same price I was finding online. It worked for the first 20 rounds or so, but I started having issues with the magazine. Three self-repair attempts, one range shop visit, and one gunsmith later, and I finally find out that the magazine provided with it probably wasn't even compatible. Avoid here like the plague. This was a good lesson for me, but it was one Hell of a price to pay for it."
"Jeff is an untrustworthy gun vendor, John Browns armory is like night and day compared to hightech handguns which is the ugliest and most disorganized shop I've ever seen in my life, and I've been to many gun shop. three words, John Browns Armory. Jeff- Your TRULY a stingy little brat whose word means nothing, and will screw anyone over for every penny you can"
