"We saw this on Hotel Hell with Gordon Ramsey. It could've been a lot better, no phone in the room, warm water at best in the shower, bed was very springy."
"I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Brick Hotel, and I must say, it was an unforgettable adventure for all the wrong reasons. To say that my visit was bizarre and nightmarish would be an understatement. The hotel's owner, a 69-year-old woman, left an indelible mark on my memory. With a lack of decorum, she seemed to think it was entirely appropriate to moon every guest she encountered. It's safe to say that her antics were not what I had in mind when I booked my stay. As I entered my room, it didn't take long for me to notice the pervasive, nauseating smell of mold that permeated the air. The dank and musty odor seemed to cling to every surface, making me wonder if the hotel had ever heard of cleanliness or basic maintenance. The walls and ceilings were stained with water damage, a testament to the ongoing neglect of the property. Things took a truly bizarre turn when I decided to explore the hotel's bar. There, I was greeted by a rather peculiar sight: rats leisurely lounging around, perched on stools, sipping drinks served by the bewildered bartender. The bartenders' indifference to this unusual clientele only added to the surreal atmosphere. Venturing down the hallways was equally unsettling. A local gang of clowns seemed to have taken up residence, their painted faces and colorful outfits adding an eerie, sinister aspect to the already dilapidated decor. I had to tread lightly and avoid making eye contact as I made my way to my room, not wanting to attract any unwanted clownish attention. As I reached my room, I was met with yet another unsettling experience. The stench was unbearable. It was a peculiar mixture of stale cigarette smoke, mildew, and something that can only be described as a putrid blend of various unidentifiable odors. It was as though the room had absorbed years of neglect and indifference. To make matters even more bizarre, the owner's son had a peculiar habit of poking guests with his rather sizable big toe as they passed by him. The uncomfortable and invasive toe-poking made me question the sanity of the entire family running this establishment. In summary, my stay at the Brick Hotel was a nightmare I would not wish upon my worst enemy. The rude owner, mold-ridden rooms, rat-infested bar, clownish gang, and toe-poking owner's son created an experience that I will not soon forget but never want to relive. If you value your sanity and wellbeing, steer clear of this peculiar and unsettling establishment."
"Great location but rooms still not fully updated with very small but noticeable details- torn lampshades, bare bulbs in bathroom, napkins on top of tables! Bedding was comfortable a/c worked fine - all good and we are used to staying in historic old inns and like it. They just need to dress up the little (inexpensive!) details to match the beautiful downstairs and chic locale they are in. Duh!"
"I’m not sure that this is a serious business. The hotel operator, which is separate from the excellent Rocco’s downstairs, isn’t on-site. I booked three nights online and changed my plans, only to be told on the phone in the hotel parking lot, “Oops, I’m sorry. No rooms available.” Anyway. I’ve seen the rooms. Stay for the “charm” and the location (which is very nice), not for the hotel. I"
"This place is filthy, we stopped here following a reservation my Boss made for us a week in advance, We arrived, but apparently the room was switched or something, it was just the beginning of the nightmare. The room was disgusting and we were greeted by little roaches in the bathroom and my gf seen a few that came out of our mattress. Thankfully we Both decided on leaving, and we were actually glad we didn't bring our luggage into the room . Definitely would Not recommend a visit here unless you are ok with bringing some friends home with you. ,No refund given from what I understand and we definitely will just be camping at the campground for now on ."
