Rodeway Inn Moosic - Scranton

"Can say without a doubt this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It is absolutely disgusting, there was mold under our fridge along with a hole in it. The bathroom was stained with something (I have no idea what it is), some weird black residue under the beds. Also, they don’t change the batteries in their smoke alarms."

"Priced high for motel that has NO amenities. The towels were stained and cheap and the pillows were just as cheap. Bed uncomfortable. No water pressure in shower and hot/cold were reversed. Also tried to charge $20 for our dog but his sign said $10. NEVER stay at hotel that let people live there full time cause they think they own the place. When we checked out a day early and told them why all he said was I'm not refunding any money."

"This place is atrocious, like a bad nightmare. I only put one star because you can't leave a review without a star. This place is disgusting from ceiling to floor. Every inch of this place was disturbing. I felt dirty the minute I walked in. I literally did not even want to shower here. My husband even killed a roach and I had to clean the AC filter. We only stayed because the AC died in our truck. This room looks like something from a scary movie."

"First morning we were there I was blowing drying my hair and the power went out in our room. I had to go to the front desk and tell the guy we have no power and he just laugh at me and said my maid have to fix it. Than my husband called him told him to fix it now and he told us that we got another room. This hotel rooms are very dirty.. Hardly no Toilet paper , there is burn marks on the blankets. Than we went out for a few hours and come back and the hotel person lock us out of the hotel room. So I had to go to the front desk again and ask why isn’t my room not working. The front hotel person told me I thought you check out today and I said no I didn’t. So he unlock our hotel door for us. Outside in the parking lot their is trash all over and I really didn’t feel safe in that hotel.. Bad experience with this hotel staff. Don’t go here.."

"I stayed at this location on 5/14/23 and to be honest, I'm pretty mystified by some of the poor reviews of the property. I'll start off by saying that Philip checked me in on Sunday night and checked me back out on Monday morning. You'd be hard pressed to find a friendlier, more welcome guy anyplace. He started everything off the right way for me! After completing the check-in, I went to my room, kind of around the side of the property (room 154 if I remember correctly) and once inside, I was very surprised how nice the room was! Everything has been remodeled pretty recently. The paint looked fresh, the furniture and fixtures in the room were all bright and clean looking and the bed was AMAZING. If a previous guest hadn't at some point gouged one of the walls with the back of a chair, I would have thought I might be the first one to be housed there. I almost never get a good night of sleep anyplace other than home, but that was NOT an issue here! The bed was perfect, the climate control in the room was perfect and privacy was perfect. I was traveling with my dog for a job the next day in the area and the big grass field along the side of the property was a great spot to walk him. The property could use a little TLC on the exterior maybe, but the overall comfort and conditions were awesome for the price paid. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to book another room at this location next time I'm working in the area!"
