Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Scranton Montage Mountain

"I had a very long drive to arrive at this hotel around midnight. They checked me into a room on the first floor. I opened the door only to find someone else already sleeping in the room! How do you check two people into the same room?! Instead of immediately checking me into a different available room, they made me wait for another 20 minutes to figure out the cause of the mistake rather than fixing it. When I asked if I need to find another hotel the concierge popped an attitude with me for being frustrated. This is the worst Marriott experience I’ve ever had."

"Excellent stay. Room was ready earlier than anticipated and they were very accommodating. Staff was very friendly. Close enough to the amphitheater for a ride share and walking distance to several shops and restaurants."

"The staff here are friendly and efficient. Unfortunately my room was not cleaned properly so I gave three stars. As you can see by the pictures, the vent was so covered in dust that a dust ball fell on me. The toilet had one roll in a double roll which isn’t a problem but it was covered in wax paper that was near impossible to get off and the roll was too large so you could only get one square at a time! There was also black mold in the shower. The showers had three pumps of liquid that you can’t read so roll the dice. One of the three didn’t work at all."

"Awful customer service. There was dog wee wee pads and poop/droppings on the pull out bed of the room. Although the one lady Jessica tried to help us, her coworker was nothing but rude and offended she had to speak to me. Then forced to sleep with no pillows. In a hotel with thousands of rooms, we can’t get not 1 pillow for the already dirty pull out bed. Lady at front desk was offended we even asked again for pillows. If you’re not told to come down guess you can’t go to the front desk. Awful experience. Better off staying at one of the 3 other marriotts on the block because this one is not worth the money. At least get a damn pillow to sleep and a clean bed!"

"We just stayed here last week and were very happy with this hotel! The rooms were fresh & clean, the staff was friendly, and the free breakfast in the lobby was great. We stayed in a room with our Pomeranian and my sister was in another room with her Golden Retriever, so if you'll be staying with your pet, this hotel is accommodating to dogs of all sizes. Also, the hotel is directly across from the Shoppes at Montage (restaurants, coffee & donut shops, shopping, etc.), which was really nice. We will definitely stay here again!"
