"I have taken over a dozen courses at PPAC over the last several years and last September completed the certificate program. The instructors and staff are knowledgeable, dedicated, professional and personable. I regularly utilize the photo lab and found the equipment and support to be first rate. If you are looking for someplace to increase your knowledge base, meet great people to share and critique your work, or use an unbeatable photo lab then this is the place!"
"Kieth in the print lab has helped me over the past two years in my MFA program. He’s always been helpful and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend for printing."
"A great photographic resource for the greater Philly area. They provide moderately priced classes and workshops (disclaimer, I teach some of their workshops, but have been going to PPAC for years beforehand) as well as great community events like Greater Philly Photo Day that culminates in a huge group show each year. The space is large and inviting and the staff are helpful."
"I had been searching for sometime for a lab that could produce a high quality scan that includes all the detail in the shadows my negatives have as well as the full range of tones in the black and whites. I was also concerned about some hot spots in the highlight areas. So I gave Keith a chance to work on my photographs at the Photo Arts Center and his work far exceeded my expectations and clearly lived up to my hopes. He scanned 35mm, 6x6, and 5x7 negatives and produced prints comparable to prints I had printed in my darkroom. Needless to say his skill and knowledge has now shown me greater possibilities and options for my large inventory of negatives. I'll be returning soon to have more work done. I truly recommend the quality of work."
"I have used Philadelphia Photo Arts Center for fine art and commercial projects since they opened. I have also been a member since their beginning. Being that my studio is in The Cranes Arts Building as well, this is an obvious convenience to start with. My experiences have all been beyond pleasant and professional, they are helpful with technical issues, subjective decision making ( paper options, etc. ) and generally good folks to deal with. The prints they make are of the finest quality, always exceeding expectations, their standards are nothing less than excellent. I have recommended their services without reservations to all who care to ask and I have yet to hear back of a less than satisfactory result. Maintaining one of the high end photo printers is a job I gave up on a few years ago. It is ultimately cheaper for me, and much less aggravating to let some one else deal with the machines, especially when all you really need is great prints."
