"I was referred to Dr Carl Deirmengian by a mutual friend of ours. He is very impressive in person. My first visit with him, he took a good deal of time with me to both hear my backstory of having elsewhere “total” new replacement surgery on my left knee but in the middle of rehab developed arthritis on my Patellar resulting in excruciating pain across my surgical knee that caught me off guard. He examined my X-ray with an intense interest in fixing it. He did a Revision and ordered home therapy only performing knee bends 5-6 times daily; knee stretches 5-6 times a day and the knee elevations above heart level 5-6 times per day. Uniquely different than my previous surgeon who sent me to outpatient therapy immediately stressing the knee like most physicians seem to prefer. Carl’s, evidence-based process is to allow the soft tissue and bone to heal before stressing the knee. It worked and is is working.
