H&R Block

"Today I am in Alexandria Virginia having just from London. In advance I emailed as well as called Robert Blades referered by my sister Dr Linda Byington to use HRBlock with a 9:00 meeting scheduled before at Duke street address. When i arrived office was closed and telephone number on the door did not answer. Is anyone at HRBLOCK listening?"

"I made an appointment by calling and I was sent two appointment confirmation to my cell. I ended up showing up today at 6 and the business is so disorganized. They didn’t know who was suppose to see me but a gentleman ended looking me up and telling me that there was a system error and that the person who I was suppose to see left for the day. I said okay I was calm and patient he was a nice older gentleman. After I left the office I did not feel comfortable filing in this location. As I saw other people’s W2s laying down on the desk where I was sitting. And there was no privacy. I called the customer service line back and asked them to reschedule me they told me that they don’t have any appts until next week. I calmly explained to her that I had today scheduled for a reason to do my taxes before the deadline and that it wasn’t my fault that the person who I scheduled with left for the day without notifying me. The customer service representative was so rude in her responses to me as if I was the one who made the mistake and blaming it on them. I have never encountered such terrible customer service on the phone before. It’s really just upsetting that you guys treat peoples time the way you do, with no regards or consideration. And on top of all of that be nasty to your customers who are genuinely concerned. I ended up calling my tax guy who had surgery recently and I did not want to bother him. He told me to send him over my W2s and he’s getting it done as we speak. And he charges less than what the average pricing of this company is. I was willing to pay more and to come back to the business for another appt but the customer service rep on the phone definitely left a terrible impression for this company."

"Horrible customer service with no regard to their customer’s time or concerns. Had my appointment rescheduled today after they were overbooked, which has been a reoccurring issue. Now they say they cant fit me in until Tax Day April 18th… and then when I addressed my concerns for the continued delay (and another possible cancellation), they just said “well its the end of tax season, its expected”…. Absolutely not. Continuously overbooking and turning people away after theyve taken off work and driven across the DMV for an appointment is inconsiderate and bad business practice. No apology was given to me, more so just seemed annoyed that I didnt blindly agree to a new appointment. In my 15 minute span waiting there, 2 other people were completely turned away for appointments they had made. One of those people has driven there 3 days in a row from Leesburg, never receiving a call that their tax person was not in office *yet again*! Hearing that turned me off completely and I left, not wanting to rebook with this location again. I surely am not going to pay a business that doesnt give a **** about their customers, especially with their overpriced rates. Trust me, avoid this place."

"Terrible experience! DO NOT GO HERE! HERE’S WHY: I’ve used HR Block in the past and it was honestly very nice and smooth, however this location is just terrible. I’ve had an appointment with them early February and they still haven’t finished my taxes until now (march 25). It’s been almost two months and No movement. I HAVE ALL THE DOCUMENTS READY FOR THEM TO DO MY TAXES BUT NOTHING. Ended up going somewhere else. SAVE YOUR TIME, DONT COME HERE."

"Did not end up filing with HR Block and they have not provided a refund. It has been over a month. I have had to report the charge as Fraud to my credit card company. They will not respond to my emails or answer my calls. They always say no one is available. Terrible customer service. They do not know what they are doing. Don’t waste your time or money!!! There are cheaper and better tax filing centers!!!"
