"Extremely disappointing!!! I chose this florist because it had a high rating online. Well, they’re not getting one from me. Generally, when I order flowers for friends opening in a stage production out of town (I live in NYC and these friends were appearing at Harman Hall), I find an area florist and the give a description of what I’d like. In the case of Hours of Flowers, I perused their website and saw an arrangement that was ideal as shown. I called the shop and talked to Michael and told him that the arrangement called “Moondance” was perfect - only asking that there be a color change for the lilies and orchids. He said that would be no problem. I know that there is always the disclaimer that not all flowers shown might be available. Understand, I placed the order a week in advance of the needed delivery date to ensure that all components could be obtained. Now, the flowers shown were, indeed, the flowers used in the arrangement (with my requested color changes) – but it was the styling of the arrangement that was so horrific and disappointing. Rather than the sweeping graceful line of the arrangement as it was shown on the shop’s website - even in an actual home setting [first photo], what my friends (yes, plural as I ordered it for two friends) received was a mishmash of the flowers looking as though they had just been haphazardly stuffed into the vase (which, noted, was not the style of vase shown – again, given a week’s notice, that should not have been a substitute) – no style whatsoever – note the orchids, so prominent in the website photo are nearly completely hidden [second photo]!!! Awful, awful, awful! [I emailed the shop regarding my extreme disappointment, including the photos, more than a week ago, with no acknowledgement.]"
