"I was denied help or treatment after intake asked me if I'm currently on any medications and revealed I'm in the medical cannabis program for ptsd. But was informed that they take suboxone and methadone patients."
"Dr. Claypool helped me get off of a addictive medication I was on for 17yrs. I am Grateful for her Expertise. #QualityCare"
"Mandy has been great to me the entire time I've been her patient. She's an active listener and willing to hear your thoughts on everything. Been seeing her since 2015."
"My experience here was rather unfortunate. Although there were a few positives such as Stacy really helped me so much in coming off a high dosage of a benzodiazepine that I had been prescribed for over a decade. Although once on a low dose (1mg a day) they wouldn't respect my wishes to remain on them. She also repeatedly ignored my concerns regarding SSRIs, SNRIs and TCAs. Although she was open to prescribing a little medicine to help with withdrawal. Ultimately and unfortunately, they had to kick me out of their practice since I resumed buprenorphine MAT in light of the fact that they insisted I come off the benzo. I very early on in my treatment did tell them that I wasn't ready or rather even capable of coming off both medications at the same time so they expected perfection from someone with mental illness. Stacy seemed like she was just taking orders from someone else higher up on how to get rid of me rather than help me. There was no flexibility or any patient led care. They seem like they hate people or would rather not treat those with serious mental health conditions which is what they are supposed to do. They lack compassion, understanding and empathy. Their understanding of psychiatric care is extremely biased towards newer medicine. I felt Stacy was extremely judgemental and lacked enough understanding of the medicine she prescribes to understand the basic concept that none of these medications are ultimately good for you. It isn't my fault that medication that works too well is often considered addictive. If SSRIs actually worked that well they'd be addictive too! But they don't."
"Mandy Claypoole prescribed a benzodiazepine for me for 10 years. If you Google this drug it shouldn't be taken for longer than 4 weeks. It's a dangerous prescribed medication that should be tapered for a year in order to give the central nervous system time to adjust and recover. When I told her that she wanted to know if I was criticizing her? I thought as a physician's assistant her patient's well being came first. I was wrong. I was given no instructions to taper, infact I was told when I called for help that she (Mandy) had other patients to talk to and she proceeded to tell me the length of my phone calls. She was spending way too much time talking with me. I have been suffering for 30 months with akathisia, tachycardia, cognitive issues and agoraphobia. She knows nothing of this because she doesn't care and she's without compassion. She dismissed me. Would you want this PA to prescribe you medication? Save yourself years of suffering and find another caring doctor who will listen and have compassion."
