"The classes are fine but getting in contact with people is a nightmare. When you take a final test it is extremely invasive. I was having technical problems with my camera not connecting and two of the tech people could not figure it out. I tried to end the session to get my friend who actually knows computers to figure it out but they tried to use my mouse and keep me from logging off. When I was finally connected and ready to take my self my proctor took control of my mouse and rated herself 5/5 stars. On top of all this when I was doing my Personal Finance homework and I needed help my tutor insisted that all of the textbook answers are wrong If you have an actual reliable tutor and someone who is good tech then it’ll be fine. Otherwise you are probably going to have a lot of problems"

"One of my greatest accomplishments is graduating from college in one year, debt-free. "I took two classes with StraighterLine, one was English and one was Science. I took these for alternative credit. I do not recommend the English course. I have always done well in English and writing and found this course tedious and frustrating. Every assignment had to be resubmitted so it took a VERY long time. The Science course was fine, but took a long time due to observations so just plan accordingly if trying to complete for alternative credit. I personally like Sophia Learning courses much better. I have taken about 13 courses with them and found them a better provider for alternative credits than StraighterLine."

"I really like how they offer affordable prerequisite courses so I didn’t have to take them at my other school. I love how they’re self pace and they’re ACE accredited as well. The only things I don’t like is the short practice final exams and no study guides for the final exams. And they should put together power points and have more videos or power points related to the content if there’s a proctored exam present. Other than that it’s a decent institution and they helped me get 3 classes out of the way sooner than my other school would have and at a cheaper rate. Thanks Straighterline and yes, I’ll still recommend!!"
