"We are so, so happy to be a part of the extended family at College Manor; I thank God every day for bringing us here. The atmosphere is so positive; we were welcomed, supported, and catered to from Day 1. The genuine love, care, and devotion to making life as pleasant, easy, and inviting as possible for residents and families is obvious, and everyone is “on board”. This is a family-owned and run “vintage hotel-like” gem that was envisioned 4 generations ago as an oasis that caters to seniors with a commitment to high standards, integrity and respect. We were patiently assisted through every step of our decision to move our dad to College Manor after having it recommended to us from an in-home caregiver who had worked there previously. Everyone bent over backwards to make the move as smooth and comfortable as possible. Every request or detail was immediately tended to, and that has been the case every day since. Everything is so much easier and the care and daily experience is so much better than before. The improvement in my dad’s comfort and happiness was immediately obvious to everyone; within 3 days of moving in, he was more relaxed, chattier, smiling, and eating better than he had in months...it was an unexpected joy to see. Finding and choosing an Assisted Living arrangement for a loved one can be an overwhelming experience (we have now done it 3 times). At College Manor, it was as easy as having lunch and chatting with a resident who has probably lived there for the longest time, (over 40 years) and is the sweetest, most cheerful, and obviously well-cared for and happy gentleman I’ve met. Since our move, two of our friends waited for rooms to become available and moved their dads to College Manor, and everyone is so happy. We really do feel like we are part of a wonderful extended family, and blessed to be here."

"Well my Uncle hasn't even moved in yet and I am already impressed by College Manor. I came in to visit yesterday and was warmly greeted by the receptionist Jackie who was very helpful. I met with Bobby the Dir of Comms and is part of the family business. Knowing that college Manor is a family business and not some franchise or part of a some big corporation gives it that home-like feeling. Bobby was very professional and provided thorough tour of this wonder facility that was once an old school full of historic touches of the late 1800's and early 1900's. College Manor is very clean and spacious and so are many rooms for residents. Once, I discuss this with my Uncle I am sure he will be happy to live at College Manor."

"Prior to moving to College Manor in March of 2017, my mother had been in another facility that was not a good fit for her. We were searching for a place that would not only be attentive to her needs, but could also feel like home. After living with my family for over 20 years, we all wanted to ensure that she was somewhere that felt like coming home. By late March my mother had just rehabbed out of a wheelchair to a walker, and her mobility continues to be a challenge. Our search for the right place ended at College Manor. As soon as my son and I walked into the former women's college-turned assisted living we both knew that the homey atmosphere and friendly staff would make sure my mom felt safe and cared for. I remember my son mentioning how much she would love the spiral staircase, the living room with the grand piano and the chipper parrot (or Polly as my mom calls them) named Rosie. Of course, the best way to make sure my impressions were correct was to bring my mom by. The owner encouraged us to bring her for lunch to see the available rooms and meet some of the other residents. My mom was so happy with what she saw that she was moved in within a week. I asked my Mom what she liked the most about the Manor and she said it doesn’t feel like she is in an assisted living facility, she said it’s like she is just renting a room in a very nice house. She likes how large and open the building feels. She can take walks outside if she feels up to it, go to bi-weekly bingo games, and eat lunch and dinner with the friends she's made. College Manor is accommodating to her schedule and preferences, while always ensuring that staff are nearby to offer assistance with things that have become tough for mom to handle. One of her favorite rooms on campus is the multipurpose room, once the college chapel. Beautiful stained glass windows let just the right amount of light in; it really makes you feel like you want to stay. After her experience in another facility and our search, this was the place where my mom said she actually felt like she fit. Once she moved in we were able to bring her furniture and give the room a bit of her personality, something the staff encouraged. They never made our requests seem like burdens and had extra furniture on hand when we were short an end table. The nursing staff have been very accommodating and always kind. They are quick to respond to the residents calls and really take time to get to know the residents unique needs and personalities. As a nurse myself, I feel that my mom is in good hands and I haven't worried that the care she's receiving is anything less than stellar. Meals are fresh and my Mom loves that breakfast is delivered to her room every morning, so she has time to get herself together before lunch and activities. We are definitely blessed to have found College Manor. The search for assisted living is tough on the family and the resident, and the internet can only do so much to give you an idea as how well any place might fit your needs. I really encourage you to take a few moments to swing by College Manor and see for yourself what a great fit it is. This place is genuinely unique!"

"College Manor was a wonderful place for our mother to spend her last weeks. The staff was personable and cared for her with respect, maintaining her dignity to the extent possible. A stately white Gothic revival structure, College Manor is one of a kind and sits on 15 acres of beautifully landscaped land. The family that has owned it for many decades puts a premium on their warm, individualized and flexible approach to patient care."

"My mother has been a resident at College Manor for about 3 years. After looking at several other assisted living facilities, we choose College Manor. From the time we walked in we were met with warmth, friendliness, and professionalism. After 3 years, I can honestly say it was the right choice. Every time, my wife and I visit, I continue to be pleased and impressed with the care my mother gets. But, it's not only the personal care it is also all the activities they have for the residents, such as movies, games, musicians brought in to play and sing the songs that they grew up with, family dinners where my wife and I can go and have a very good meal with my mother. One of the most impressive things about College Manor is the how long many staff members have worked there. Many have been there 10, 15, 20 years, which to us was a great indication how management treated their staff.
