"Wouldn't see my child at 7:36pm when they close at 8pm. They didn't ask for my name or why my child needed to be seen. I was told there is one patient in front of us and then I was told to go to the ER."
"I am highly disappointed with this place. They are an urgent care, I was told to take my son to them because his normal pediatrician was completely booked and he needs to be seen. They don't even open until 12:30. They have ridiculous wait times, I thought I would give them the benefit of a doubt because they don't have good reviews bur the reviews are spot on. I am so mad my son has had a runny nose, horrid cough and they only gave him ear drops for a minor ear infection that the doctor wasn't even sure he has. I was okay with the ear drops for that reason but what about his congestion, runny nose, and cough. They did nothing for that after making me wait there 2 hours. I could have just went to the emergency room and had better results. Also I was told we'll it's that time of year and everyone is congested... Are they SERIOUS Of course I get that but that what your job to give medicine to fight it. I won't be going here again!"
"This place has gone completely down hill. From telling me an infant with a broken bone had an ear infection last year and now today's visit has made me believe this facility is nothing like the other Akron Children's Facilities. I am a big fan of Akron Children's doctors but warn everyone to walk away if the physician on duty is Dr. Kuwik. While she may seem pleasant at first she is going to completey disregard your opinions or requests and attempt to bully or guilt you into only following her opinions. If your child is sick I highly recommend the boardman facility and urge others to stay far far away from the Howland facility."
"Absolute disgrace, wait times are ridiculous. They make you wait outside and say they will call you by a certain time. Then don’t call and lock the doors? While there is a child waiting to be seen. Just go to the hospital atleast at the end of the never ending wait you get results."
"My son had a fever for a few days and his cough got worse out of nowhere. I wanted to be sure he didn’t have pneumonia. They have every capability to provide this service here and do a chest X-ray. Instead they got me back to the room and said they were sending him to er. When they took his temp he didn’t even have one because the Motrin I gave him kicked in, and they wanted to do pulse ox and it came back normal at 97 or 98. I questioned why we were being sent to the er when there was no indication for a medical emergency. Why take up space where someone else desperately needs it! The nurse said she spoke with the doctor and the doctor thinks it’s best. I said all I want is a chest X-ray to make sure nothing is turning into pneumonia. And she said they could do it at the ER. Since he doesn’t have Covid, flu or rsv (I told them he was tested at docs the day before) but the cough got quite a bit worse. They refused to even let me speak to the doctor and said to go to the er. Absolute worst medical care I’ve ever had! Wait, we didn’t even get any and paid a copay! I’ll be speaking with ombudsman’s office as well! I will get my money back and my insurance will not pay for the care we did not receive."
