Chestnut Hill Music Academy

"Update: 2023 Our son is now a Junior in high school and college prep and other studies have taken over his schedule. He will need to pause his formal music education for awhile, but the time spent at Chestnut Hill Music Academy was worth it! We are so thankful for the many years of dedication by his instructors and for making music education fun. He can now play the drums, guitar, a little piano, and recently added Tuba and handbells as part of his continuing music participation in school. He has recently joined his 2023 class induction into the Nation Honor Music Society! Thank you Mickey for your leadership and passion for teaching music, and we wish many more years of success to the Chestnut Hill Music Academy community. ------------ 2018 Our son loves his music lessons from Chestnut Hill Music Academy! His teacher is patient and knows how to keep our son's interest in music. He actually enjoys practicing because the songs are both challenging and fun to play. Even if not always easy to listen to :-). We receive great value for the lessons, and make-up sessions are flexible. After sticking with his instrument, he now has the confidence to play in both school and church orchestras. We would highly recommend this music school for all ages!"

"at age 6 my daughter started taking piano lessons thru CH Music Academy. her teachers helped her learn the fundamentals and gain confidence. the annual holiday concert in Dec was always a special event to showcase the talents of all the kids. lovely beginner experience for our daughter. would recommend to anyone who is looking to start their child in music - piano, voice, guitar, violin, drums"

"Our daughter has had two extremely kind guitar (and ukulele) teachers at Chestnut Hill Music Academy: Mickey and Jason. Working with them has given her the confidence to perform in recital. The flexibility of the program has allowed her to do what she's currently passionate about: Recording herself singing and playing guitar or ukulele, both covers and her own compositions."

"When our daughter asked to go to "guitar school" at age 4, we were unsure if this was even possible for a kid that young to learn. A google search led us to Chestnut Hill Music Academy. Mickey has an age-appropriate and engaging approach with our young guitarist. A year later, she can read music at a basic level and play several chords and songs which she performs to the delight of her little sister!
